that pike was huge. buy a hacksaw for metal and you could have cut that nail and you can still do it and it will be stronger. or you can prob just buy some metal solid tubing from somewhere like home depot or a hardware store that is more heavy duty and wont snap. i caught a big bush the other day also i thought i had a hog on at first but no fighting so its a giveway. even largemouth will move a little. but you are right the hog i got tonight felt like i was stuck in some weeds at first. then it was on. on your anchor though you should do the trick where you tie it off the right way. so what you do is you tie it on the bottom with your main knot. and then with a weaker string you tie it to the side you are tied on. so then if your anchor gets really stuck you are able to pop it from the first tied area and then the rope will pull the anchor from the right side to make it collapse and get it free. so the way you tie the anchor you can lose it or have to swim for it or cut it if it gets stuck in some bs. one time i had the rental and it got stuck on some old dead tree branches it took me like 10 minutes fighting it before i finally broke off some huge branch. but i was pretty close to just cutting it off. nice vid and fish. that sucked about your finger.

oh just tie it to other end and use ziptie to do it to the other hole then if you really have to you yank on it and can break the zip tie and pull it out.. hopefully, ya i watched the full series it was good and close. tons of species. i asked mark and erika how many miles they travled. they said all about 20 min from their place lol. ya they live by a ton of species. but i guess i do too if i go to the ocean. but its still about a hour drive to there for me and castaic is only 30 min on the hondagrom.
