I went fishing at humber bay park during the summer and I only saw little fish but when I was leaving I saw a massive bass atleast 8 pounds and I tried throwing worms and all types of lures I had but it had no intrest

Monster pike, nice! And thank you for cleaning up that garbage 🙏🏼

I think that is a largemouth, not a smallmouth. Eye is located behind the end of the mouth and has two distinct dorsal fins. Smallies eye is in from of the end of the mouth and has one continuous dorsal fin (that dips but is still attached.) Notice how his back dorsal is raise and the front is flat. Tough to tell from the vid and very nice fish either way.

Awesome fish! I used to go up and fish the Otanobee with my family when I was younger. Great times catching smallies, sunfish, rock bass, you name it. I havent fished in many years since starting uni and whatnot, plus, living in Mississauga, there arent many places to fish nearby. Now that I recently finished school, I'm trying to get myself back into the sport, as well as introduce my girlfriend. Any spots you recommend in or around the GTA that doesnt require a boat? We tried port credit yesterday but got skunked. Not the best start! Thanks in advance!

why dont they get any bigger at these ponds?
@caughtbyconsul964 жыл бұрын
ARCSTREAMS not sure. Probably the same reason why a fish in a small aquarium also doesn’t grow big.

Solid catch bud. I started fishing recently and will try Toronto out, never knew I could catch anything there tbh 😂 lmk if you know any good spots to catch in Port credit I'd appreciate it a lot

Port credit in late August and early September cast a spoon at the pier for salmon and in the credit river thousands run every fall

Don't you take the fish away? You can take it? What was that fish? I'm new here in Toronto and I'm from Brazil, the fish are different.
@caughtbyconsul964 жыл бұрын
This is a northern pike. 90% of the time I return the fish back in the water. The big ones you want to put back so they can spawn. But now and then I keep some smaller fish to have for dinner.
@MaxS5354 жыл бұрын
the biggest bass I caught there was a pound or 2, small stuff.
