He’s a top 15 1C rn but he has the opportunity to be a top 10 in the next couple seasons for sure. Don’t forget he’s on a line with a teenager and a small goal scorer still finding his groove (and lets be real, this is the only line they got). They’ve only all been on their game simultaneously for a short time this season. Once the 2 wingers figure out their defensive game a little better they’ll be deadly as a top unit. Plus the addition of Hudson and Reinbacher is going to be insane mark my words they’ll have a cup contending core in a few years

Considering where they're at in their rebuild, injuries, etc., Nick has been the one constant. I'm sure that Caulfield's goal production next year will be better, considering he had surgery just one year ago, and with Slav's confidence growing, it will be a line that will produce more in the future. The D core is looking like it will be amongst the best in the league in a few years, and with a few more goal scoring forwards, we'll be in very good shape. Just consider that we only have 6 players left from the 2021 SCF team. That's a huge overhaul! (And yes, it's been 31 years since our last Stanley Cup, but that's less than every other Canadian team, and I like our chances moving forward. We have a great management team that have winning the cup as their final objective!!)

I think it's pretty likely Suzuki hits 100 points once or twice in his career. Lots of players do it these days, when he's in his prime and Habs' rebuild is further along, I think he'll do it. Trust in the process, this team will be stunning lines 1 through 4 and their D will be among the strongest in the NHL on both sides of the puck. And did I mention, excluding Montambault, because he won't be a factor after next year, they have a system, including Primeau, that will have Dobes, Fowler and Volohkin that will be fighting for crease time in the future. The habs have not had a 82 point player in more than a decade, and Suzuki will probably be the first one to reach that barrier. And while not cheating on defense. He has not missed a single game due to injury since the start of his NHL career He is depended on in every situation (PP, PK, last minutes of games, OT, big faceoffs, shootouts) Sorry to Caufield fans but by definition, Suzuki is the most valuable player on the team, by a landslide IMO If he keeps progressing I think he will garner serious looks on the international stage, I could see coaches playing him in a shutdown centre role or as a responsible winger that can do it all next to the big superstars To me, he is the next Patrice Bergeron.

Again this is all a pipe-dream, Habs arent going to get Draisaitl, or the 1st overall pick. They do have 2 first round picks of their own however, they will use their own, and trade the 2nd that they got from Winnipeg, in the Monahan deal. It will look something like this... Montreal Canadiens TRADE: Joel Armia, Christian Dvorak and a 2029 5th round pick, to the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for Connor MacDavid, Leon Draisaitl, 2025 first round pick, 2026 first round pick, also Edmonton will retain $12M of MacDavid's contract, and they're covering $6M of Draisaitl's salary. This is the kind of shit i think about at night, no wonder i cant sleep and im depressed!!! lol. Just kidding, im not depressed!! Next time... I'll include how the toronto maple leafs lost Mitch Marner, Austin Matthews, and Willy Nylander to the Montreal Canadiens, and toronto is covering 90% of their salaries for the next 9 years!! Poor toronto, oh well, Habs fans will be happy!!! lol. Im losing it. Only someone as crazy as me would still be reading this! lol, let me know if u made it this far please!! lol. If u did, ur awesome, i love u!!! I hate everyone else, people suck!!!

Hey Johnny Hawkey ... I'm new to your channel (keep up the great work) and wondering if you've ever done a shout out to the PWHL? I've been watching a lot of games and the level of play is high. All hockey fans should be supporting the league and many probably don't know games are streamed on KZbin. They're sitting at about 97k subscribers and we should try to get them to the magical 100k mark.

He’s got 66 pts on a losing team. It’s actually not bad among centres in the nhl. You can’t expect every team to have a mcdavid, Mathews, draisaitl, point, Crosby or Hughes. When habs will be ready to invest in the tail end of the rebuild, I’ll look forward to him being a point per game player.

I would compare him to Koivu in productivity, smarts and leadership but better that Koivu in durability. But across the league, he has much more competition. Koivu at his peak was only considered a second line center (in the league, not on Habs).

Suzuki will end up getting Selke votes this season while pushing 80pts at 24. I Just don't think people understand how impressive that is. And he plays with caufeild whos considered a defensive liability by his own coach and juraj whos learning how to play NA hockey. All 3 have made major strides this season.

The whole line is incredible. Caufield has had incredible metrics this year and is getting a 60 points season with the shoulder problem from last year. Slaf has grown tremendously as well. What is missing is secondary scoring and experience at the D line. The lack of secondary scoring threats is what is hampering the Canadiens. You just usually have to shut down the first line to block the canadiens.

Habs fans argue over a lot of stuff, like I am not a reinbacher fan, and Habs fans lose their fuckin minds when they read that, lol. One thing Habs fans never argue over, is Suzuki, he's an amazing player, imagine when we got him, he wasn't even the big part of the deal, in fact MOST habs fans were like Suzuki, who's that?? But he's a great captain, his numbers go up every year, and with the right players, he could be a 100 point guy. Put Suzuki with Draisaitl and McDavid, i promise u he breaks 100 points. Gotta remember he's playing with streaky Caufield, sometimes he is scoring nightly, some times u dont see him for 2 weeks, and a rooky in Slafkovsky, whos improvement has been super too!!! Habs r looking good, i wish we were waiting for Michkov, or Leonard to get here, instead of ANOTHER defenseman, they already have at least 12 defensemen, but ya, lets get more, i cant see the logic, i know he's a right D, Habs didnt need more D, they need goal scoring. The D was fine.

Is your disliking of Reinacher purely linked to our need for more offense or is there another reason as well? I'm just curious because this is the first I've heard of Reinbacher in a negative light since the fan base is treating him like a messiah or something.
@toddlauretteHabsFan
@toddlauretteHabsFan 2 ай бұрын
@@anthonyst-pierre352 I dont dislike Reinbacher, im sure he's a great kid. I am upset with the pick first of all, at the time Habs already had over 10 NHL ready D men, plus a couple really good ones coming up in the system, like Logan Mailloux, and Lane Hutson. I think it was a horrible pick based on his numbers, he had one goal last year, and i realize he's supposed to be a defensive defenseman, but one goal? Come on, and he got 3 the year before that, again i realize defensemen aren't all about getting goals, but in today's NHL, Id much rather have a Makar then a David Savard. We could have really helped the team by going with Ryan Leonard, or Matvei Michkov, i thought for sure, if it wasnt one of them, it would be the other. I never dreamed they'd draft a defenseman. Whenever i say anything negative about him on a habs site, i get crucified! lol, I dont mind tho, lol. Its like i said, it's nothing personal against reinbacher, but ive been a Habs fan for 45 years, who knows how many i have left, hopefully the Habs can at least win one more cup before my time is done here! lol. I guess im just over passionate about my Habs!! Thanks for asking so nicely, whenever i get comments about any reinbacher remarks, no matter how true, their not usually met with politeness! lol. To say the least!! But im quite capable of handling a couple crazy Habs fans!! Have a good day!!
