I think the headset has a monthly validation via internet, if not validated as subscribed it gets locked (unless you have subscribed the full period in which case you just lose subscription benefits and can use the headset as you wish)

No. You get it for 400 bucks. The subscription is a contract to get the visor at that price. If you pay upfront the visor is like 1100 and you get it unlocked. Once your subscription contract is done the visor is unlocked for good. You might as well get the 12 month subscription and it's the same price as paying up front. It's like putting 400 down and doing 12 60 dollar payments like a mini note but you get all the features of the subscription.

You will be surprised, I attended XR event, forget about Visor 4K, I saw even more amazing prototypes that were actually running, Vision Pro feels outdated to them lol.... Imagine a glasses like Xreal Air but with 120 FOV and 4K... That's the level I'm talking about at just 138grams only

@@isamuu99 it's not one it's multiple prototypes and they are not complete set of glasses it's display only usually, one you put your head on a wall and see, other you wear...... One company showcased 120 FOV lenses in AR glasses form, other showed 4K panel that is made for AR glasses (they call it 4K but reality it's somewhere around Quest 3 and Bigscreen Beyond resolution), I think panel size was 0.78inch if I'm not mistaken..... Asked software developer who was developing weather and tourism software, he said these glasses are legit coming and they will be around 138grams of weight, they are not one brand only, it's multiple brands using same display panels + AR2 chip + similar lenses varying in FOV + built in battery with processing power using your phone..... I think Xiaomi will be first to show next gen of AR glasses but it will be current market FOV and 1080P.... Followed by "Max" Variants of Xreal and Rokid and some other manufacturers I believe I saw LG also planning it..... Meta will bring display to their Ray Ban glasses next year.... I was hoping to see these 90-120FOV + 4K panel next year or even this year, but so far previous weeks showing it might be delayed until 2026

@@isamuu99 ANT Reality were showing a prototype running what they claim 120FOV lenses for AR glasses form factor, however I think it's about 100 FOV in reality, it can use over 1 inch Panle which means it's 4K Panel capable and since it's not Pancake lenses it can do with less brightness output, they showed also that it goes completely dark so you can do VR with it...... However there was another company I saw on August last year event that had a demo in glasses form and they use different tech to achieve these FOV numbers, that looked more legit to me, I believe Rokid and LG working with them, while Ant Reality Xreal was one of their partners.... However this year I saw indications that we will indeed get next gen AR glasses that have AR2 chip with 6DOF tracking and hand tracking (look At Xiaomi last year running prototype demo and you will understand what we getting)... The FOV stuck around 55-60 maximum, I expect next year we will jump to 80-90, they struggling to fit these lenses into small form factor due to panel size requirements and battery drain

It only superficially looks like a pair of glasses. It has a wraparound semi transparent Visor concealing what is essentially a trimmed down VR headset. It uses Cameras in VR passthrough rather than true glasses.

The Visor cannot do a lot of what the AVP does. They basically have stripped out nearly everything short of productivity facing features. And the true price is settling around $1200. Considering what the MQ3 can do for half that price, what Visor is attempting doesn’t seem that far fetched.

Still you have to have some distance between eye and both the eye tracking camera and the display. Unless they invented some lense/display hybrid I don't see how it stays that small.@@GettingThingsDun

they arent glasses. it's a large frame over your add that has replacable colored sheilds to cover the mask to look like glasses from the outside. the tether goes to a battery that has the wifi and bluetooth inside of it. It's met to be connected to your computer/laptop but when on battery you can still access your virtual screens. they arent locking it so you can sideload apks on it. its 6DOF it's an intel/qualcom product and other backers. Immersive is a super popular productivty app on quest and apple vision and they continue to support those devices.

All the “good features” last as long as you have the headset not just the subscription. The subscription is mainly for other things like the lifetime warranty and AI Curator and customizable 3D work spaces. Without the subscription you still get 4k per eye and 5 4k screens, the immersed app and shared coworkers spaces along with eye tracking and hand tracking. The subscription was mainly created for people to be able to afford the device by essentially paying it over 12 or 24 months.

Visor, for me it is a scam. Immersed have never shown any real things but just keep showing premade videos. Just look at how thin that thing is. No screen can look natural when it is up so close without lenses. Not to mention cameras for tracking. It is simply too unreal to be true.

What do you mean no lenses- this thing is supposed to have pancake lenses. Also while it is very light for a VR headset, the curved plastic visor on front hides it and makes it look more like glasses than it really is. It actually sits out from the face far more than glasses would to allow room for hardware.

The glasses like arms are supposed to be used for short sessions. It is to ship with a head strap also (which is not shown in promo videos cause it looks too VR) because it is actually still too big and heavy to really be used as glasses.

People are saying that since it’s not a headset it’s just a pair of sunglasses how can sunglasses have the same 4K resolution as a headset like the Apple Vision Pro for only 800 ? It seems to good to be true usually when that is people think it’s a scam
