Just keep steel construction screws and keys out of your iPad case and you'll be fine. This is not a device you'd keep in your pocket so chances of damage are pretty small.

I hope you see this. But can you try to get one of the digital Walmart tags is rolling out in some stores. I'm a stocker and personally I hate them. However as I was adjusting them sitting on the ground one fell of my lap and got scratched. So I'm very intrigued how scratch resistant they are. If you're okay with going in a grayish area. Just go to the soda aisle and the tags have no guard to hold them in, and some just fall to the ground because the latching mechanism they used is incredibly weak.

I found mine such an disapointment🤣 That Apple fixed this crap to front screen, means two things. 1. you are stuck with it, until some second party repair shop, replaces the glass only. 2. no additional screen protector for you, until then🤣 This screen deserves to be turned into an art-piece😏

@@someoneelse1550 No it's not. The purpose of the nano display is for extra 'glide ability' and smoothness, aka a core property of the feature. Buying a sports car is for the speed. Your analogy only considers the visual appeal, which sure if you're a ricer than yeah. The real analogy is a nascar/f1 driver that buys a race car with a speed limiter. The purpose is to drive fast, and the speed limit hinders it. If you buy this ipad and then put a screen protector, you are not using ANY of the advantages of the nano display, thus comparable to the speed limiter.

Don't do this, at least not with anything not apple certified. I'm no fan of paying more than I have to, but adhesive from the screen protector may end up filling in the pits in the glass, ruining it after you remove it or forcing you to use solvents. With apple approved stuff, it will mean the adhesive can at least be cleaned up 100%. It's better to just get the glossy display and apply a textured screen protector like Paperlike. Just be aware, pen wear will be a thing and visual quality will be inferior to the etched display.

My immediate thought when I heard about this screen, was that the grease from fingers would polish the matte finish over time. My gaming mouse for instance has highly polished spots where my fingers rest. Would be an interesting test to rub something greasy into the screen like you're polishing a shoe, then see if the matte finish could be restored with isopropyl alcohol. My guess is that it would not.

It’s weird that the new super thin 5.3mm 11 inch iPad Pro has a the largest battery than any smaller iPad Pro ever. Amazing. 31.29wh compared to the other 11 inch models that had 28-29 Wh. Even larger than the 2017 10.5 in iPad Pro’s 31wh battery.

Middle link this thin works not for its thickness, but for its tensile strength. Coupled with the strategically placed screws to the frame it creates sort of an I-beam. Remove those screws and the link does nothing :)

It’s the pick getting embedded. In my IT job I once dealt with students drawing on etched glass trackpads with Aluminum. To fix it, I used acid to dissolve the aluminum off.
