I'm worried about the product's lifespan in the long-term, which no one seems to be talking about. None of the box PCs on the market have good cooling, so they're gonna run hot almost all the time. Would you expect your machine to still be trucking along after a year of regular use? Hell, I can just assume with this product that there is literally nothing pushing air for the IO packed behind the board, which will cook when the heatsink is inevitably saturated.

Yeah they should be fine, they’re not running TJMax or anything like that. These newer generation chips are designed to run hot too, as they boost very differently than 5th gen did. You can also try to tune it manually if you’re really that concerned. Don’t let it run wild and you’ll be fine.

Thermal throttling, WiFi issues and requiring internet access to set up Windows immediately are red flags for me. Almost the perfect PC for me. Next time I hope.

@@MM-ij6ldIf you use 45-54W in a handheld, expect 20 minutes of battery life at most. Handhelds should run somewhere between 3-10W to be power efficient. In Cyberpunk on the Steam Deck I get 3hours at 9W using 800p, mostly medium/high settings with FSR Balanced. Currently the Steam Deck APU has no real competition due to its performance/watt, You don't need 8c/16t like the off-the-shelf components for handheld gaming. Getting a custom made 4c/8t just made a lot of sense for a device that will AAA games mostly at 30fps.
