Hot section requires material science technology that only 5 countries in the world have currently. Manufacturing that engine has made India reliant on engine spares as in we do not need to wait for russian supplier given the large amount of engines that are being used. it created an ecosystem for a nascent supply chain (although all parts were sourced from govt sources)

Isn't Gef414ins6 an under power engine to use with Tejas mk2 ? mk2 comes with 30% greater MTOW than mk1 but mk2's gef414 only produces 15% more afterburning thrust than mk1's gef404in20, and has 58 kn's of dry thrust which is lesser than the dry thrust of Mirage 2000"s m52 p2 engine(64kn) even when Mirage 2000 has 500 kg lesser MTO and it doesn't use AESA radar,(his doppler has lesser average power consumption)
