More Progress On The Backfill Job

More progress on the backfill job. Got another 25 loads of clay and a few more loads of rock on the basement house. The garage is pretty much to grade for now and I'm getting closer on the yard. Brandon… it took longer to fill than it did to dig that garage!!! We got home just as it started to sprinkle. I woke up this morning to green grass and 3 1/4” in the rain gauge. That’s two months worth of rain… or more for this time of year!!! The fill job is coming right along. Your trucking arrangement is really working out nicely… you may be a preferred client already. Those dumpers love it when they can just drop and run.

That’s coming along nicely. That had to be a lot of fill for the garage and a lot of moving the roller to get it in lifts so you could drive it back out without that pucker feeling 😁. Been out of town so I’m catching up now. Great video Brandon. Thanks

Well, I see the framing is going up so this place is moving right along. Just about the time I was going to say that at least you didn't have to worry about anyone stealing your roller down there when POOF you had it out and didn't even show us - that must have been fund, LOL. We wondered if that front yard was a little high, so I was glad when you said you were going to cut it back a little - it's hard to tell from the camera sometimes.

Yeah they about have the whole basement framed now. lol yeah I didn’t show the never ending process of filling the garage 🤣 I ended up cutting the front yard down probably 6” and pulling the dirt towards the house. Looks better now. Thanks again for watching guys

About a year ago, I bought one of those trench rollers like you were talking about. It's been a good investment so far. I haven't used it a ton, but it was really handy on a few jobs. Mine is not remote-controlled , but it's still nice to have, especially in tight spots where a big roller won't fit. Your job is coming along nicely. Stay safe brother.

Area around foundation should never settle with all the care you did backfilling it.

Stone is double clay. Clay is $150 a load and stone is $300 a load. If the garage was much smaller I would have just done stone it

@@eliteearthworksllc in my area we have both crushed limestone and gravel. Gravel is cheaper than limestone. What I see most around here is that gravel is used for fill and limestone is driveways.

That was a whole lotta backfilling. Kinda strange how deep the garage and other footings are. Especially with all the backfilling you had to do.

Yes it was. With the way the land was we had to cut out the garage like that but it makes for a lot of filing in. Appreciate you watching
