The Crusin' Collection were actual radio broadcasts with D.J.s but when the albums were reissued in the mid '80s they replaced the original recordings with pathetic recreations!!!

Watching these commercials paid off for me once: I had unknowingly memorized most of the artists names and their songs. Listening to an oldies station one day, they played a clip of Chapel Of Love and asked callers to identify the group. I came up with the Dixie Cups, and landed two tix to a dinner theater. FTW!

I eventually started downloading those songs from my music app. Yeah, I'm 21st century now, but I still love the classics. They don't make them like that anymore.👍

I had a friend who had the misfortune of ordering the Time Life Classic Rock of the 60’s CD set so proudly advertised on TV. He ended up waiting up to 5 months and numorous angry phone calls until they finally sent him his order in cassette format not the CDs he really wanted. What a joke.
