"More" Resin... Or Is It? Resin Cap Change

Im glad someone said it. Being able to login once a day knowing your resin isnt capped is a lifesaver. So many times i am doing something and then im like" shit is my resin capped?" Its a welcomed change imo, especially with Natlan and other mechanics coming. I think Hoyo is trying to keep us engaged, for a little while since the patches were a bit slow. I can expect players to get excited when the livestream drops, and we see natlans mechanics and area❤️ maybe even few Characters. Xblanque?

it's a welcome change for me, since I don't like calc'ing on 21.66h to (or 21 hours and 40 minutes) to spend resin, so working on a full day works me (even though it actually fuffils at 26.66h - or 26 hours and 40 minutes)

It's a welcome change. At least now I can log in once per day and not hit my cap. So I don't lose any time (so to speak). Sure you still need to log in every day to not lose time, but a daily log in isn't so bad. As it is right now, I end up logging in in the morning just to make some condensed resin or run a few ley lines or do a boss, so to not lose any time/resin to the cap. It will be nice to not have to do that. I agree with you guys: it's not "more" resin because the refresh rate hasn't changed. It's still 8 minutes/1 resin, and if you're a hardcore player I think you're not going to do much more in any given day anyway. My dream was to just cut all resin caps in half, or get a World Tier 9 or 10 where the rewards were higher. Levelling is so expensive for talents from 6 up, and level 80 to 90 characters and level 80 to 90 weapons, and we need a way do that faster. I don't want to be levelling e.g., Arlecchino for 3 weeks, I want to play the characters I just pulled for right after I pull them. But I don't see Hoyo changing that unless they really have a player-retention problem. :P

Pretty sure Hoyo is only doing this because Wuthering Waves is out. People have been asking for a resin increase for years and never did so. They’ve gotten to lazy because there was no competition.

Literally. This is what my friend was telling me earlier as well, and I agree. They didn't care about making the game any different AT ALL until Wuwa was announced. Tectone said it perfectly. And all the internet warriors with defend Genshin because they are fairly new players, so everything seems amazing yayayaya super happy genshin times, but when you've reached end game and there's nothing to do but farm artifacts...and then you can't even do that for more than 10 minutes because your resin runs out...then you realise the state of the game.

​@@Tyler-ko8dp Is adding more regional content not making the game different? Not adding more exclusive puzzles and enemies to those regions? Was Chenyu Vale them adding nothing to the game? Or Remuria? I hope you come to realize how bias Tectone is when it comes to anything genshin related, there are so many better content creators who offer insightful and more nuanced takes and criticism about the game. He tried ignoring the horrible state of WuWa's launch and the performance issues people were having because he wasn't having them and just wanted to bash on Genshin more for drama. People were even talking about how they only released the animation (for 4.7's interlude quest) Because of WuWa as if these animations take only a couple of days or weeks to produce, people even said Natlan's creatures ripped off Echos even though they have been in the making for at least a year

@@I.disagree I think you make some valid points there tbh. I really appreciate the work they put into the new regions and the bosses and storylines...not to mention the music. Genshin has my most favourite OST ever, even over movies. I just get so frustrated because all I wanna do is just enjoy some artifact grinding and play with my friends, but hoyo just make it SO HARD for me to do that. My friends don't want to play anymore because they are bored of the whole "30 minutes on, then resin is gone" type of play.

If they have reduced time to gather resin then it could be some good. There is no extra resin. You are getting the same resin as earlier only you can condense 5 resin. It's just a quality of life and really sad update.

It's seriously a terrible update, and maybe even quite cheeky, it's basically just them saying "oh damnnn, Wuthering Waves has a 240 cap, we need to try and compete"... even though we've been asking for more resin for years. They do not care about us, they just care about being number one and making money from that result.

I don't think genshin is doing this because wuthering waves or out of competition, they're doing this because natlan is gonna be a huge region, level 100 is expensive and 160 resin won't be enough

Honestly at this point if they don't - at least- maximize it by 1.5 it's meaningless. I'm out of everything in this game, and everything needs resin to move along. Everyday I have to chose between mora, ascension materials or domain farming. And sure I'm semi enjoying the game now but I won't for long if it takes me 2-3 weeks to upgrade a character I was excited to pull for but can't use now cuz it's not built properly. You want the grind? No problem, give me a fair chance to do it. Also everything in the game gives you a spit of whatever the hell you want. It's not like I can split my CR to where it makes my effort worth it, if I want something I HAVE to spend all 5 CR on it, otherwise, you get a laughable amount of that resource!

OH WOW, I can now log in half a day later without losing out on any of my incoming resin. hahaha, some people clearly haven't spent that long with Genshin. For me and a few of my friends who have been following the game since launch, this increased CAP is nothing.
