Too early to add. We have yet to get to Snezhnaya to emphasize Cryo as a whole. If anything else, it's better to introduce new "elements" in Snezhnaya since it's the tailend of Teyvat.

Liben in the last event said he was recently in Nod Krai. Nod Krai was talked about a lot in the 5.3 preview show, including that it's an autonomous region of Snezhnaya. I think it's possible we get Nod Krai instead of Snezhnaya proper for 6.0 and they do a story with Crossbell vibes - a city from the Trails series that had two superpowers politicking for control over it. Hoyo devs are known big fans of Trails, and especially Dawei who's a massive simp for a character from Crossbell.

To me, it seems pretty likely that left to right is going to be the release order. Iansan in 5.4 and Ifa in 5.5 will round out the Natlan regional characters. Skirk in 5.6 makes much more sense than dropping her at the very end. The x.6 patch is usually when they drop a smaller map expansion along with a very hyped character (Arlecchino in 4.6, Baizhu in 3.6). I could see the 5.6 new zone being similar to Enkanomiya (possibly an explorable section of the Night Kingdom), with an Abyss/Khanrieah themed story like the 2.6 Chasm story. Skirk makes perfect sense as the banner character for that patch. That will likely be the last major patch of Natlan, with 5.7 and 5.8 being pretty dead patches as we prepare for Snezhnaya. The 3 completely new characters would make sense for filler banners - similar to Emilie in 4.8 and Sigewinne in 4.7 (I know she was part of the story but she was the least hyped of those characters).

There's still atleast 1 more character not revealed actually. Genshin confirmed that each nation will have 17 characters released thru out their patches, and counting the playable characters from Natlan as of now (I included Mavuika,Citlali and Lan Yan) the number is 9. Adding the number of future character shadows shown In the live stream it adds only 7. 9+7= 16, there's still one slot, hopefully for Capitano.

@@show9161 It was confirmed in an official Livestream during the Sumeru arc if I remember correctly, however I have unfortunately forgotten which Livestream. And even without that, they stick to that rule. Inazuma, Sumeru and Fontaine all had 17 characters. Mondstat is an exception due to it being the region part of the initial launch, thus they needed more characters. And Liyue is also an exception due to it's patches only reaching version 1.6, unlike the nations who do stick to the 17-Character-rule who reach version x.8 patches.

Iansan coming next makes the most sense. I'm curious what direction they'll take her kit. And I wanna see her village. Dahlia I hope is a 5* solely for the same Mondstadt needs some goddamn love. I'm getting Ifa. I wonder if figuring out the closest source for Skirk to be a Honkai expy from might be worth doing to predict Skirk's gameplay, regardless of no "new element" addition while thinking what meta they will shift into around then. The rest I don't think we have any hints for. Other than the Krai place. But the maid looks like she's connected to Chiori, she's got the same platform heels. Also wouldn't be surprised if the chef takes some design cues from the HSR bloodbath stoneheart character. Whether or not the region counts as Mondstadt or Snezhnaya, I fully expect some East Europe/Slavic/Transylvanian inspired additions to the cast.

IF Genshin is to receive another element (Void, Quantum, or Imaginary), then Skirk could actually work as an interruption character in the story. All plans are set to visit Snezhnaya, and then Skirk flips the script on you, and basically gives you the Childe training treatment, believing you to not stand a chance against the Tsaritsa and the Harbingers otherwise. Void/Quantum/Imaginary Traveler unlocked, and new characters from that element only start appearing because of you. The new region could be whichever place their "gateway" happens to be in, and might as well be Celestia, thus pushing Snezhnaya further back. All of that in 5.8 could be used as an acrual "preview chapter" instead of the weird resort episodes that just vaguely hinted at the dynamics of the new region.

If they are to add a new Element; it'd have to follow the naming system. I guess for Darkness/Void it'd be "Tenebro" or "Erebo". For Light, I think "Halo" or something similar works. Wouldn't adding a new Region mean new Enemies too? Like Tenebro Slimes or Fatui?

Why do people keep insisting that Genshin needs to add Imaginary? When if you look closely to the lore of imaginary element it's an energy from the Imaginary Tree, and in Genshin there's a very special tree with a world wide Root system and this Tree has 7 Elements revolving around it, that's right Genshin already have Imaginary and it's the Elements that the Playable characters use. And as for Quantum it's an element of destruction opposed to Imaginary so Abyssal it is.

I was put off by the playable character's technology just like many others but when you mentioned we don't see people riding motorcycles around Natlan I remembered there's a bunch of human enemies using obviously motorized weapons - something that looks like a motorized saw but has steps on the side so it could potentially be used as unicycle, those women that ride on their slingshots, or those that have elemental cannons and also ride on them. They're not as noticable since they're enemies and I don't think we get to meet NPCs that ride such tools but some silly technology certainly is around in Natlan. Taking these into account I am getting a bit more content with whatever our playable characters use too.

I'm glad Capitano isn't coming yet, since they probably have plans to directly buff Cryo in some way during Snezhnaya it's better to have him release at that point, whether it's through some artifact set or something else. Dont forget that one of them will probably be a standard character. As they said back in the 5.0 special program "...more and more characters will be added to the wanderlust invocation wish as our versions progress and this reward will get richer over time...". So I would expect the Inazuma or Fontaine character to be that standard character.

So my pitch was that if abyss came into contact with any other element it would cause a burning-like reaction that does DOT to represent abyssal corrosion. Alternatively it could cause a big explosion like overload but for every element.

Idk her actual name but one of those 3 at the end is someone from Iansan‘s tribe who defended it and is actually really strong so she will be a 5star The one looking more inazuma type of style is mizuki also a 5 star. For the last one I think she is from Fontaine. They always release a 4 star character from the last region so maybe in 5.7 the same as Sethos 4.7

Considering the devs already said no more elements would be added, I would expect the "dark" and "light" will be mechanics leaked from the next region we go in 6.0. Rumor is we dont get Snezhnaya next so it might make more sense we go to a place more removed from reality where dark and light are introduced to us.

I wouldn't be surprised if we got an update of Childe's whereabouts and since we're taking the fight to the abyss in chapter V, we'll probably get Skirk's reaction to that as a supposed abyss dweller with her coming into the story in some way.

It's really surprising, the Skirk teaser. In Fontaine AQ, there's no any hint of her element and she got no vision in her design/outfit, plus her role in the story, so I actually excluded her as a playable unit. But here we are!

About what anemo needs. They need someone who can fill the role of Healer and Shielder at the same time (Baizhu Anemo) and who can hold Natlan's set (Cinder City). Only an Anemo could properly proc Cinder City with swirl, and Faruzan shouldn't leave this team, so the only option left is to use is the sustain. Wanderer prefers shield because of the interruption resistance, Xiao wants to heal, so an anemo baizhu would be good for both. In addition, it enables Furina more for Wanderer and frees Bennett for another comp.
