I think everyone expects Simpsons to be gone sooner than later. A winged coaster themed to look like drift cars could work. I still believe Universal wants to redeem themselves for FastnFurious. Therefore, a winged drift coaster, themed restaurant, etc. Or... what if they really wanted to lean in on the racing and went with a large simulator theater, like Flight of Passage where 5 people can race each other in multiple "group theaters." It could be a capacity monster if they could load 20 mini theaters every 10 mins. Think Forza in 3D with 5 people side by side. You can have a pre show where before you race you pick your vehicle and tune it. This would have unmatched re-rideability.

I feel when Universal Epic Universe opens in 2025 as announced, visitors are apt to schedule a side trip to the Disney parks and Sea World Orlando. Epic Universe being new will be the leader for at least a couple years unless ticket prices are outrageous. A seasonal pass of $1,000 is not unquestionable. If I lived in the area I definitely would. Disney has to have something new to keep the attraction alive. They have in past and surely will. 😊 ➕🎢

I have a lot of nostalgia for old Hollywood and for the orginal vision behind the various studio theme parks. If I was to design the next USF coaster I'd use the Studio Tour Ride at Movie Park Germany as my general blueprint. I'd make an indoor and outdoor coaster that takes you through the history of Universal Pictures and then the history of Universal Parks and Entertainment. I'd include props from defunct shows and rides as well as set pieces from old films. I'd give fans of Kongfrontation, Jaws and the Back to the Future rides to see a small glimpse of what they miss. It could be sort of presented as a museum collection/ride. You could have models, you could have pictures, you could have old costumes. And you'd have either onboard audio or just audio in the show building. The first party would be like a cross between The Great Movie Ride and the Studio Tram tour at USH. Just think of the "edutainment" found on early EPCOT Center rides. But then like the ride in Germany, you could blast out from the dark ride segments and ride around an outdoor layout. If thoughtfully done they could have you literally ride through large pieces from classic Universal films but maneuver at high speeds. I imagine it'd have the same intensity level as Hagrid's with drops, banked turns, airtime and some exciting laterals with the near miss elements. The parks have already been capitalizing on the popularity of defunct attractions with some of their specialty shops. This would serve as a salute to long time park fans and a great introduction and thesis statement for new guests.

My Universal coaster wish would be a Giga themed to King Kong/Skull Island. The theming possibilities would be absolutely insane. A hyper would be fine, but if they could get the Giga, it would be even better. They certainly have the money for it.

Universal has so much potential right now. They have a lot of land to work with. They could add at least 3-4 coasters to USF. And for islands of adventure they could add at least 2-3 more if they really wanted!

It sounds like, though, that the backstage area you pointed to and the Simpsons area will be replaced by Pokemon. I do agree that Rip Ride Rocket will likely be replaced but it could be for an Illumination expansion. Illumination Ave only has Minions properties currently. As for Zelda, they'll probably just add the dark ride. It's hard to imagine that they would have the space for another coaster and a dark ride.

No, just no. As of right now all of the coasters in Epic Universe should be plenty enough for Universal Orlando until 2030. People who constantly say “tHeY sHoUlD pUt A cOaStEr ThErE” have to be delusional. It makes sense for Universal Hollywood (it’ll be their version of VelociCoaster) but Universal Orlando is all set when it comes to roller coasters, as they aren’t the only type of ride in existence.

While I'd love to see a traditional hyper in either park, I think Universal is done with lift hills as they take up more space than launch track and can therefore fit more in less space with the launches. I wouldn't mind seeing Rip Ride taken out though and replaced with a Gerstlauer Infinity coaster. It could still use the vertical lift and utilize the same footprint, but would be a much better ride.

One correction. Islands of adventure is outstanding. Epic universe looks to be outstanding. The main universal studios Florida park isn’t at the same level. The one possible exception is Halloween horror nights and even then that is more about the mazes and less about the theme park. I wouldn’t call it one of the top parks in the US. The need to scrap rip ride rockit. That is the starting point. Universal studios in California is in the same boat as US Florida but at least they have a new coaster in 2025.

While we're dreaming, I think that a Top Gun Maverick coaster should have at least one portion of the ride that exerts a similar level of G-forces to those on I305. Hey, every major region should have at least one ride that might cause you to grey out, right? At least, since it would be a fighter-jet themed ride, it would make total sense to subject riders to a barely legal level of forces (and let's face it, we all want to experience a ride in a fighter jet, but without having to pay the exorbitant price/be famous enough to even be considered for flying in the Blue Angel twin seater).

I am surprised SeaWorld haven't gone for a mack extreme spinner for 2025. Its pointless them opening a family coaster in next couple of years as they are going to lose a percentage of the family demographic when epic opens whatever they do as can't compete, so they should have gone a different route and tried to offset some of that loss by offering something that no park in Florida has.

Agreed. I'm thinking a launched B&M wing coaster themed to a divine beast from BotW (think Vah Medoh, with lights along the sides), which you enter through a Sheikah shrine. Add in some indoor and outdoor elements, maybe an animatronic guardian encounter before a 2nd launch, you get the idea.

I love roller coasters but I’m getting tired of them. I want more immersive dark rides and other types of attractions. For example, I went to Warner Brothers Halloween event back in 2018 called Horror Made Here and it was the coolest haunted attraction I’ve ever been to. It wasn’t just mazes like all the others. Every attraction was different. There was the classic haunted house maze, but then there was an interactive theater experience, a role playing experience, an outdoor walkthrough that allowed you to explore at your own pace, I could go on. Each one was so different. That’s the type of variety we need for theme parks and attractions. Roller coasters are thrilling, but thrill is not enough for me anymore. I want truly unique and immersive experiences.

I expect studios to get new 2 family coasters in next 5 years then just after 2030 a mack extreme spinner will replace rip ride rockit as it be nearing end of life. The 1st family coaster to built will be racing coaster themed to fast and furious the current que building will be kept and the coasters will launchwd out building with most of track over the lake. The 2nd new coaster will be in the new pokemon land that is replacing simpsons and also utilizes the extra space from the back of house areas between simpson and MIB that are no longer needed. It will either a family B&M winged coaster themed to charizard or a vekoma flying coaster themed to one of the bird pokemon. One they both built that makes the park more attractive for families and increases capacity allowing rip ride rockit to be torn down and replaced with a world class coaster. Keep the music and give mack rides the task of producing a more extreme and longer version of ride to happiness, spare no cost and enclose the 1st launch and parts of course in tunnels with screens so that it can be themed differently for horror nights

Actually it technically isn't.. The Incredible Hulk closed on September 7th, 2015 as the start of a major overhaul. During this overhaul most of the track was replaced as well as the trains. The onboard sound was added during the major 2015-2016 overhaul. Source - rcdb.com/557.htm
