Not since Thomas Builds-The-Fire told the story of Arlene's magic frybread in the brilliant movie Smoke Signals has anyone captured the true frybread culture until this film. I absolutely loved this! I'm a little sad it took me twelve years to find out about it.

I enjoyed that so much!! And even though I didn't see one black face (people of African heritage) in the entire movie, we were well represented in Buddy's music and I really appreciate that! We are all One. ONE LOVE!!

ok you may think that Rap is from the black ppl but truth be told it is from when blacks were here and we (Natives Americans) held our Pow Wows that we invited and raised Blacks in our communities. That is where they heard the Pow Wow songs... and asked what are they singing (?) just so happened that the words were "Bad Boys Bad Boys whatcha gonna do. Whatcha gonna do when they come for you....." and we all know the rest. So Rap was born....the group is called 'Inner Circle' in honor of the ppl who gave them the inspiration. 🥁

So far I have watched the first 10 minutes and have chuckled continuously from the opening scene. Because I am an old Jewish guy from Connecticut (Pequot) I wasn't aware of Native American humor, but this film is spot on and I can't wait to watch the rest tomorrow since it is past my bedtime.

I just about fell out when the lady was out in her garden spray painting the flowers and talking about how she lost the beauty competition… First scene, you think it’s a serious documentary, the second scene you’re not sure, the third scene with her knocked it out of the park. Take it from this white dude who was a stage actor and roomate with Redcorn Jonathan Joss. Jonathan got the part of Chief Bent Twig in "Almost Heroes" by looking at the script in audition, nodding his head as he walked up to Christopher Guest and slapped him. This movie is pure genius!

This movie has me hooked yearly I watch it❤️. The style is so beautiful how all ages can enjoy together. The variety of fun characters and the love of frybread 🫓 make this movie a must see🥇🍿. It’s so much more than frybread. Why it didn’t win a bunch of awards is not fair because this is one of my favourite movies of all times.
