I think Muramasa is a better black grail looper for non standard waves but besides that I definitely think she either holds her own or out performs Muramasa now as an AOE servant for standard farming and for CQs. Sad it took them this long to make such an obvious change for Shiki but happy it finally happened

Got my first copy of Shiki saber from the GSSR with new years 2024. Thank you for having this analysis up Khad. I knew that she did death proc and then damage and I was pretty disappointed in my GSSR (except for the fact she wears a kimono - I have 2 figures of her in the 1st ascension kimono and really like her look). Watching this video and finding out about the change to damage and then dead proc as well as her being able to loop makes me super excited that I got her as my GSSR this year :)

Finally my np4 saber shiki that i never actually went after is gonna have some use. She was my first 2ssr in 1 multie when i went after fujino and my first ever gssr.

God, the first Fujino banner was an experience for me. I went into it hoping for at least NP1 Fujino, and if maybe I got a second Shiki or something, that’d be cool. I came out of it like $300 poorer, with NP6 Shiki, 1 Fujino, and 6-7 off banner SR spooks

As someone who made a point of giving her gold fous, grailed her to 110 (need one more NP level for a chance to 120) and will give her fou paws as soon as her Assassin self is done with those... yeah, I'm pretty happy right now.

She spooked me when I only wanted Fujino. I still remember that time, because I only rolled after I beat her challenge quest thanks to Gandr bypassing her resistance. This was back before the fix, when Gandr could be resisted, so that was massively lucky. She is the spook that keeps on giving, and I've never regretted investing into her--although there was that time when she was _too_ good at killing stuff in the Romulus CQ. I actually got to thinking. If they're now willing to do under-the-hood fixes like this, then maybe the idea of older units getting their hit counts fixed is less impossible compared to before. They're more willing to address mechanical issues, and may be moving away from rank ups and interludes as the sole way to "buff" a unit.

Shiki is my favorite Servant in the game. Got her to NP3 & Grailed on NA & managed to get her recently on JP. I always found it irritating when people would say she was bad, when in reality, they were using her in ways that she wasn’t originally designed for. So now with these buffs, hopefully, she’ll get her proper due. My favorite ascension is the 3rd one.

I rolled with 6 quartz and for whatever reason they decided to be both shiki, np2 is great and i dont have saber arts (except for gozen summer but thats no use) I'm pretty happy with her so far and i love the movies so this is a win for me

I'm glad that the servant who stole Okita from me on the latest GSSR will eventually be useful for something. My AOE Saber options are so bad that I just use omni-farmers automatically. I remember back in the pre-looping days having to run Spartacus, NP1 Salter, and Saber Lily with Waver. My Saber options haven't significantly improved since then either.

after that 1st Skill Upgrade , seeing videos she can loop in a 3 enemy per wave with Black Grail but needs summer kuro and oberon to do it

I think summer kuro is only required for berserkers/assasins. Am personally looping her with just oberon.

Have they changed the damage -> death as a formula in general or just saber shiki?

All the characters that read Damage -> Death in their profile page now have their orders fixed. So units like both Shikis, Cursed arm to name a few.

@@stevegroff6829 nito wasn't affected because her np reads Death Damage Crit down. So the death is meant to happen before damage unlike shiki

I'm a little confused why we are talking about Oberon being the third support instead of Lady Avalon? Wouldn't 50% more Arts help with her looping capabilities better?

You wouldn't get enough np charge with Lady Avalon unless you start with a CE that gives you starting charge, but by doing this you lose out on damage on every wave because you no longer have the Black Grail CE. Black Grail CE + Oberon S3 > Heavenly Demon Princess/Ocean Flier + Lady Avalon S1.

Muramasa was such a disappointment for me. NP2, lvl 100 but man does he hit like a wet noodle. It’s that crit gimmick and having invuln pierce on a skill and not NP. Ibuki just laps him. Good thing he’s a shiro. They’ll give him an upgrade sooner or later, I just don’t know if it will matter much.

As someone who also has him at multiple NP levels I disagree with this take. The damage is more than good enough for the majority of content in this game and will clear nearly everything but 90++ nodes in three or four turns. Ibuki laps him if you have double Koyanska and Oberon if not she becomes a lot harder to use for farming. Really good for CQs though

@@fenrir_Lokison9 I wasn’t comparing their damage I was comparing their viability as farmers but on the point of damage that’s gonna be dependent more often than not on the NP level of the unit and the supports you have. Buster units as a rule do more damage but its still relative to what you also have on your account

I’m comparing top Sabers VS top sabers. Im sorry I forgot to ask for permission. He is disappointing. Im a shiro fanboy too, I bought in to the hype but cmon now, he don’t test well. And since when is the best art saber “good enough”??? He’s lucky castoria exists. And if your muramasa is np1 then goooood luck mate🍀.

Expect a Muramasa buff in 2 years when 10th anniversary rolls around very likely for his NP to keep pace with the plethora of AOE Sabers you have been buffed

Not that bold tbh. Muramasa is so overrated on NA. His dmg is mud5, his crit potential is worse than vr tomoe. He should've been a Buster servant and he'd be great
