That snow shovel meme hits hard, but because it reminds me of using a blind cane. I have a condition known as Retinitis Pigmintosa (RP) that is causing me to go blind. To get ahead of the game, I've already done full Orientation and Mobility trading under blindfold with a cane so that I'm prepared for the future. I became very adept (I was told I should consider instructing as a career) with the cane and very confident. I actually move faster under blindfold than without it. I think it's because of 2 things. 1. Under blindfold, it feels like more of a mission getting places. Any deviation or distraction can lead to confusion, like losing track of exactly where you are or which direction you are going for example. 2. I'm a drummer and using the cane is extremely rhythmic. The more you do it and more comfortable you are doing it, the quicker more confident you get. All of that to say, when you're booking it and your cane catches in a crack in the sidewalk or something you often impale your self on the cane itself. If you use a sturdier cane, say aluminum , it's even worse. The worst is places where they use brick or stones but they don't mortar between them all the way up because they want visual texture, and leave gaps basically every few inches. It's not just bad for blind people. If your pushing a stroller or wheelchair, it's going offroading. Depending on their choice of cane or walker, elderly people and other who use mobility device are at risk, too. It never occurred to me until I started using a cane and these spaces turned into my own personal minefield.

I went snow blind in Martinsburg, West Virginia, back in probably 2011, maybe 2012-13. It was like 12 or 1PM went to the field next to my cousins old townhouse with them and my little cousins just to realize the sun was so bright despite it being bitter cold, windy, and the ground had snow so thick you could almost walk on it without sinking in then when you did it went up to your calves.

Caleb and Kris are the cutest couple! I've been watching Kris for a long time and I started watching Oompaville about 9 months ago. I swear, the 1st time I watched him, I thought about Kris and how cute they would be together if they ever met! I can't believe it actually happened!!
