We need to take a step back and remember that Alex created the show, comes up with the tasks, is there during every recording day, endures pain, humiliation and the wrath of the contestants and he STILL made the star of teh show someone else. That is a baffling level of humility or insanity and I admire both.

After having played with Rhod before, I'm sure Alex has long since gotten immune to humiliation. I feel like the last vestiges of his pride as far as image on telly goes, went when Rhod did the quick swap task. Really does show what you need to have to make a show like this though - sheer commitment to the bit, dignity be damned. Alex becoming the Taskmaster's Minion despite being the creator of the show was a stroke of genius, because he's therefore not asking anybody else to give up their dignity. He does it because it's his show at heart. Makes you truly appreciate his power level.
