I filed the rakers down on my 550mark2 and was surprised to see it could handle more... Filed them even more and it's at a good spot now and throwing chunks. I would have never thought it could handle the rakers as low as I have them but it does. Pleasant surprise. I'm using a Stihl chain by the way and thanks again for the videos and educational stuff it helps us new guys alot

Totally understand getting older and having to go somewhere better suited for you as you age. Hope you find the right place for you. Bad shit happens everywhere though, filth seeps into the cracks where it isnt easily cleaned up. People tend to ruin places and it only takes 1 turd in the pool to make everyone want to get out.

I was born and raised in the desert south west (southeast New Mexico/west Texas) and have always felt at home in the south. Want to move to the north central Alabama area. Anyway, hopefully everything works out in your favor and whenever the move happens, everything goes well!

Our problem with the "bad" immigrants in this country is literally caused by us. As soon as Americans stop buying their drugs, they will sell them somewhere else, and those bad ones will be gone. The problem was caused by the Reagan administration. It's all sorts of effed up. The cartels were literally allowed free reign to bring their drugs in. And the problem just kept getting worse and worse. Watch the Tom Cruise movie about it, I believe it's called "American Made". It is actually amazingly accurate as to what caused the problem.

The greater Atlanta area has over six million residents. The greater Syracuse area I believe has about 500k. So if both areas have about 5% crazy, then Atlanta has about 300k crazies compared to Syracuse having about 25k crazies. However, for the past 28 years that I have been tied to the south, I have thought the ratio of crazies down here far exceeds that of states outside of the Southeast. I mean, it is absolute reality that the Southeast is the least intelligent and lowest educated region of the US. So, it makes since that it feels really damn stupid to me. It is. So my theory is that for every 10 people living in the South... 2 of those folks are nutjobs. They may not know it, but they are. Remember the 300k crazy number... it just quadrupled. In the same general amount of land, we have 1.2 million idiots vs 25k idiots. My chances of meeting an idiot in some capacity is far greater down here than it is up there. Just the simple idea of there being fewer people would make a world of difference.

@@novicelumberjack taxes depends on the county. I live in Essex County which is far less expensive as Warren county. They do offer some tax breaks to retirees, no where as good as Florida for instance. I’m a retired cop, and I work part time now.

Damn Yankees! lol And I say that as a guy who’s family were persecuted as Mormons and left for Mexico only to be persecuted again during the revolution. Go West young man! Course my family’s home for over 200 years of California is or will burn do to poor leadership (forest and otherwise) so maybe Idaho. You’d love the McCall Boise area. It’s fantastic. You’d probably love Oregon and Washington, but for me, they are the land of overly educated fruits and nuts the same as California. Don’t ever assume an education equates to intelligence. Anyway, best of luck. Likely some great areas on the wrong side of the Rockies but they seem to be leaving looking for Paradise as well so🤷🏽‍♂️. Think the answer is Alaska with Winter’s in South America. At least that’s what the happiest people I know do. Alaska is like California was 50 years ago. @@Super-Dave-Outdoors I just know that a bunch of my buds and I meet up really close to Gilmer twice a year. Once at spring break and again for Thanksgiving. It’s cold at night but hot in the daytime. Where I live in Arkansas it’s much more stable, but our humidity is terrible. That’s what I like about Gilmer, no humidity compared to Arkansas. Your sweat actually cools you off. Around here (AR) it’s just NASTY and like being in a sauna in the summer for a few months. And when it’s cold outside it’s COLD because it’s so humid. Truly bone chilling cold.
