This vid is actually a few years old. The USS Gerald R Ford is currently on active deployment, and, the second ship in it's class, the USS John F Kennedy, is almost complete. In fact the Ford made a port call at Portsmouth last year.

Nuclear ships have on-board nuclear reactors, which means they can carry more supplies instead of fuel, and don't need to be built with vulnerable exhaust ports. They can operate much longer missions than conventionally fueled ships. On paper, they could run nonstop for up to 25 years, generating their own electricity and purifying their own water. In nuclear submarines, they also generate their own oxygen so they don't need to surface nearly as often. Of course it needs to stop every once in a while to cycle the crew, reload any spent weapons and supplies, and address maintenance. It's human crew also still needs food and medicine. The UK's Royal Navy does own and operate a total of 10 nuclear submarines

To answer your question at around 6:30 -- our weakest point in our military is outside-of-military leadership. And perhaps a few military leaders that don't justifiably belong there. Our equipment, personnel, capabilities, and strategies - I think are just about entirely impregnable. I'm sure the rest of the video made this pretty clear, but nonetheless, an all-out war with the US is quite literally suicide. We *could* either fight, or defend against the entire world, and likely a few times over.

This also poses the problem of either working with Canada to allow enemies to sneak through Canada into the US, or; sneaking into Canada so you can sneak into the US. Canada has their own military, and they’ll try their best to stamp out an enemy nation trying to sneak in and attack the US from their border. This same problem goes with Mexico. Mexico isn’t as wealthy as Canada, much less the US. If an enemy of the US bribed Mexico enough to let them sneak through the Mexico-US border, **but the enemy fails in their attack and is destroyed by the US,** Mexico is in for some terrifying consequences. The US has gone to war with Mexico multiple times in its history, they’d do it again in a heart beat if Mexico did such a thing. So I really doubt Mexico or Canada would be willing to betray the US. That’s open provocation. The US would steam roll through Canada or Mexico and take everything over. It wouldn’t be like fighting wars over seas. It’s right here, the war is on our doorstep now. It would be incredibly easy to move new soldiers and equipment into the battle zones.

Weakest point of military… divisive politicians who use misinformation that can weaken morale. Also here and there you hear about breaches in our infrastructure, Russian hackers who have actually gotten into the systems that run power grids, nuclear plants, even hospitals. Yet they didn’t actually do anything major… yet. It makes me wonder about some of our military computer systems. Of course a lot of civilian infrastructure is run by private companies and it’s up to them to keep things secure. I would say the young individuals that make up the whole, the human element, and capitalistic greed that controls all interests. Those are the weak points. You can have all the armor and fire power in the world but it’s not worth anything if those behind it have a doubt or are easily swayed. Edit: What I mean by young individuals, is how young people are when they join the military. An age where a person is really trying to discover who they are, and are primed for being "molded". It’s not a weakness to be curious to learn about other ideas, but critical thinking has been fading. It’s easy to be moved the wrong direction.

I was in the US Army from 1989-1993 joining at age 17. I was in artillery, and my platform was the M-109 155mm howitzer (the predecessor to the mobile howitzer you pointed out that looks like a tank with a very big gun called the "Paladin" which was a refit and update to the M-109). I fought in the Gulf War in Operations: Desert Shield, and Desert Storm. That was the war when our new tech was first introduced to the world. The stealth fighter and bomber were first used at that time, and we were also the first to use GPS for ground guidance (it wasn't as precise as it is today, and the guidance/map screens were pretty crude). In artillery, we also had fly-by-wire laser guided missiles called "copperheads" that we fired through our artillery guns. The missiles could be fitted with conventional warheads as well as nuclear (I was a member of the nuke team that would assemble those if needed). Finally, it was also the first war to showcase "smart bombs", or "Precision Guided Bombs" (PGBs). Most of the 8 months I spent in the desert out there was boring as hell, but once the ground war started, we decimated Iraq's military in 3 days of ground warfare (preceded by 2 months of aerial strike campaigns). It was Desert Storm that redefined the term "modern warfare" to what we see today. *Edit* Oh yeah! The coolest thing I saw was looking up at a stealth fighter flying overhead, and it literally disappeared right over me. I'm not sure if it was discontinued, but back then, they were experimenting with optical camouflage that projected the sky on the bottom of the aircraft, and though I'd never seen as such, might have projected what was on the ground on the top of the aircraft. I imagine it would have been discontinued since logically it would be difficult and costly to maintain, and any surface level damage to the skin might render it inoperable. Seems to me it's not very useful since by the time anyone actually saw you, you've most likely already hit your targets anyway. So, I imagine that idea was scrapped. Still kinda cool to see though.

My husband got to sit in one of the Blackbirds when guarding during a hurricane in Kadena. He also got to take a ride in an F-16 while at Barksdale. The carrier is the USS midway and it is now a museum you can tour The entire ship either on your own or with the ships. Have All different types of planes In the hanger below the deck. In 2012 a charity men's basketball game between San Diego state Aztecs and Syracuse orange was played on the deck of the midway. I guess when a ball went out of bounds it really went out of bounds.. On the hanger deck there is a restaurant called cafe 41 which has covered outdoor seating with views of the San Diego bay. They have the typical American food items. Restaurant food and accommodate food for 400 guests. One of the things that is really scary about this video is this is just the stuff they told you about. Just imagine all the stuff they didn't tell you about. The world's 1st nuclear powered aircraft carrier the USS enterprise (CV-65) was commissioned on November 25, 1961 . My dad was on the enterprise I just don't remember what years. In many military movies that shoot a Scene or on an aircraft carrier Is the USS kitty hawk(CV-63). If memory serves me correctly that was the aircraft carrier used in top gun. A little bit of trivia about top gun, the flight jackets that the pilots wore were actually naval flight jackets And in one scene you see a patch on tom cruise's arm and that was my dad's squadron And my mom designed the patch. My dad was the Executive officer Of one of the carriers I just don't remember which one.. That means he was second in line behind the commanding officer. He actually hijacked a carrier That's a little Embellished but That's a different story for another time

I'm a seriously proud American and everything she has accomplished through the years. There is one aspect that brings feat to my heart that seems to be coming more likliy in America's and the world that I hope I'm wrong about. That fear is that the human concept and humanity part will be removed from war other than us being either human fader or accountable losses. That the human nature of last-minute last second intervention/call will be gone. That call made by honorable military soldiers in civilian and got the safety of innocents cought in the crossfire is not being accounted into the actuation for any battle in our future. America stands for her people both military soldiers and civilian citizens. She stands for all people who are innocent and are in need of someone to help with there human right to live. Over the dark times of war that America has been a part of the human part of war of battle had been proven as well as seen a large part of the honor and pride that we have. In recent times that exact concept has been trimmed out and is being lost with Ai systems, unmanned military engineering, and unmanned drones each with no way to place the fact of what is right or wrong in. The last minute last second to stop the loss of innocent life of those who are not a part of the war or battle they find themselves stuck in the middle of. I will always back Americas most brave honorable and those who put themselves in between her people and the dangers that have been aimed at us . Our military are bar none in my opinion the best of the best in the world. But those incharge are hamstring our men and women with what they desire leaving the good of the people behind. I just don't want the military to be without the soldiers it severely needs to have inorder for America's humanity to stay intact. War and battle can not be honorable or be right if there is no human factor or human concept as the major part of the why of it. Who will stop that one moment where lives could be lost or saved if there isn't any one there to witness and make the call that is needed. I dont wish any soldier to pay the highest price of their life for any reason I hold thise lives as a large factor in our country's pride and honor. I also know what thay sacrifice for all Americans. I am extremely grateful for everything and all that they stand for and do. Saying thank you for your service is the best I can offer to all of our military men and womenand veterans. To me that could never be enough to show my gratitude. But our soldiers are what makes America honorable and gives our nation her pride. Without those soldiers to stand up for our people and the innocent across our planet America would have hollow heart, it my option.

When I was in Afghanistan, Kandahar city, we had a B2 do a show of force at night when we were securing and looking for Taliban. The sound and vibration it did was incredible. What was crazy was thier canopy was 5000 feet.

To be fair , France had a Submarine pop up in the middle of a strike group during a war games scenario, right behind a carrier, when asked how they accomplished this this , they Said it was to easy , get ahead of the strike groups path , sit on the bottom of the ocean floor till they're right above , than just resurface in the heart of the enemy. Lessons were learned

To answer the weak poin question, there are 3 weak points that would need to be attacked simultaneously, Pearl Harbor, Manhattan, and dc (forgot what the naval base there was called). The catch is that because of our defence network on and around these areas a conventional attack wouldnt work it would need to be a timed and coordinated attack using nuclear or dirty bombs, or numerous conventional bombs brought in on cargo ships and assembled on site from parts. This would cripple American politics dc, financial stability manhattan, and naval might 2 major naval bases, follow up with a naval and arial attack pn the power grid, and cyber attack to disrupt communication. The us has probably got contingency plans for this but i still think it has the highest success rate

Nuclear powered air carrier fleets are not nuclear bombs… rather, they are nuclear powered, which allows them to stay at seas for years at a time if they wanted. They are like small cities, so the nuclear power also provides electricity to the ship, which is needed for endless other uses

The reason why the US is so ornery, (tough) for those of you who are not from here, is because we're so busy beating each other up just for fun, that we end up tougher than old shoe leather.. Contrary to what the guy said, we've actually had the stealth technology since the '60s. We had operational aircraft in 72. But most the people in the world didn't hear about it until the late '80s and early '90s.
