I genuinely think tht THIS is a buffet that my wife and I could both fully enjoy. Considering it's about the same cost as going to a nice restaurant AND you get 3 hours of booze means that we'd both be full and plastered by the time we left, it's perfect. The lobster with cheese on it is lobster mornay. A very classic dish. The bread you ate the foie gras is brioche. That's how it was traditionally made

I have tummy problems too (IBS), however, if you want to treat yourself to something like a buffet or a friend’s birthday party, etc - just on special occasions I take imodium (off-brand it is called ‘ Loperamide’) a couple of pills on an empty stomach an hour before eating naughty things, will slow things down for me and allow me to feel normal for that special day.

About the crab head : We generally eat the stuff that is in the sides of the carapace, along with any of that tomalley. If the mouth is still attached to the head, then you have to lookout for the stomach, which is what made you react to. Some places do not remove the crab's stomachs

Crab gills are not toxic but if you enjoy eating bad tasting plastic that's the texture.

This buffet is incredible. I would totally go there and get it. The 15 $ alcohol Flatrate is very good if you drink Long Island Ice Tea the whole time. 😂 The fish that didn't know could be Tilapia. Texture looks very similar to that. Please let your wife do a video as a host. Cheers

This is incredible for the price; a meal this expensive may be out of the price range of locals (I don't know what the economy is like but a quick google check reveals average salary of 275 dollars US) but for a foreign visitor at that price, it is fantastic.

the yearly average income in Vietnam is at $4200. In Saigon where this buffet is the average income is like double or a bit more than double that. There are a lot of newly upper middle class and high income earners so they can do well especially when this price point it still rare and uncommon in such a large city.

The fried tofu pouches are called Inari sushi. They're my favorite as well. Unfortunately, they are almost unknown here and you get maybe one with a whole mixed box of vegan sushi, if you're lucky. Can't wait to enjoy the simple luxury of just buying half a dozen from a random Convenience store in Japan again.

I can’t do foie gras after accidentally stumbling onto a video on a farm in California, and was somewhat traumatized when a rat came and started chewing on a goose’s tail feathers and the goose couldn’t move because of the force feeding and couldn’t defend itself so the rat just chews on them till it gets bored….I still have flashbacks of that, I think it’s the defenceless aspect that bothered me so much

@@patrickkirkham There are different ways of making foie gras, it's the same in every animal exploitation. If you take chicken for example, some are raised in small cages and then they break their wings and body when shipped but some are raised on huge properties with plenty of grass.
