No matter who it is, or how dangerous the conditions, they do their best to save ALL people (also they’re VOLUNTEERS too, which blows my mind). I’ll be donating as soon as my pay comes through. With a understeer biased car, using Linglongs and a bit better gripping tyres in the rear sounds like a dangerous idea. The MGF really benefits from same type/design/brand tyres on all 4 corners. Tyre dimensions front and rear can differ (like this car was delivered 185/55 front, 205/50 rear)

I had to agree with Tom’s verdict on the MGF being another big Leyland / MG Rover fail that should have been great… by the mid-90s the problematic / disastrous Triumph Stag had been sorted and rehabilitated after 25 years effort, so someone in the Midlands thought… I know, let’s leapfrog Mazda (and Fiat) and reclaim sports car glory by stretching the reliable Rover K series 1.4 16v to 1.8 litres, give it 120+ HP and stick it in the back of a 2-seater with the radiator at the front ! How hard can it be ? What could possibly go wrong ?
