Mike the MGF is hydrogas ! I own one , a 1.8mpi mems 2 , V reg 1999 October mk2. The hydrogas units on that will be fubar'd , don't be tempted to pump it up beyond its maximum psi even if its not level. Get those hydrogas units replaced with reconditioned ones ASAP. They originally had a life expectancy of 15 years only. Once replaced, they will transform the ride , I've just had mine replaced 😊. Put a decent exhaust on it , iridium spark plugs , a 52mm throttle body on , stainless under body coolant pipes (ensure you bleed the system at all 3 bleed points, very important) and you're good to go . If you've got the budget, buy an upgraded brake kit from William Naylor in Southport (he'll also have every single used spare part you need too)..... Good luck with the F and if ya need any info or pointers just ask 😉

I had a few bits from the Mike satur site, including the front aero kit, I had the bonnet modified to look like the 200hpd. I had the side vents made up to look like the 200 hpd also. So the air flowed through the front lower grille and up through the bonnet vent, low air pressure area bringing the front end down at high speeds. Sadly sold the car, should have just kept it. Plate was x40wer.

My wife had one similar to that and had the gas pumped up, made huge difference to ride. The bigger problem was the leaking roof and window. I got so sick of it one winter I ended up breaking out the sealant gun and duct tape around the window and door on passenger side. When this went she got an mgzr which also had a leaky sunroof which I actually managed to repair, I was so chuffed biggest car maintenance repair job I had ever done.

Most for the rnli is do an numbered ticket give away so people buy a ticket for like 29p but there is 20000 tickets so youll get plenty of money for rnli 😊
