I've been ordering from crutchfield for 25 yrs now for my car stereo stuff and their customer service is by far better than any other audio retailer out there. I wish they would teach customer service classes to some of the other online retailers I deal with. It's also nice to get a person on the phone who is in the U.S.

I paired them up with th Morel 4.400 amplifier and they perform really well. Go for a good class AB amplifier only. You can also see DLS p44.

What is the difference between the Morel Maximo, Maximo Ultra and Tempo Ultra? Are there significant sound quality differences?

It's fascinating to hear that even within the same line of a brand, one size may sound very different vs the other (not counting bass response in smaller vs larger). The best part of this is when you use your own music, I can really hear what the speaker is doing in comparison to my original file when I have that ready to play and switch between to compare.

Would a kicker key200.4 be underpowered for these speakers? Or would you still get decent volume (just not maximum) compared to stock speakers with 50W RMS amp? Even though the RMS rating is at 150W it seems to have high sensitivity (92db) which makes me think it still might be fine

That high sensitivity does mean that the speakers play well without needing to be used with an amp that gives them full RMS watts. Also, the increase in power should lead to an increase in the top volume level you can get from the system

The need for a subwoofer will vary depending on the goals at hand. A subwoofer could help improve the fullness of the sound these speakers deliver, make it more lively, and even help with the overall intensity of the audio. What vehicle is this going into? What are you goals for the sound?

I want to get the Tempo Ultra Integra 6.9 for front and 6.5 for rear using factory radio for my ct200h, which is a hybrid. Which amp would be best, and would this system draw too much power for a hybrid car?

Thanks! Did you want to replace all the speakers and custom fit new tweeters up front? You'll need a hole-saw drill bit for this installation, so you can flush-mount the tweeters into the brackets included with your order.

We have a 30-amp current draw limit when adding an amplifier to your 2017 Lexus CT200H. We can use the Morel Tempo Ultra Integra's in the doors and the AudioFrog GS25 1/12" speaker in the dash location. The Morel Tempo Ultra Integra 402 MKII is a full range speaker with a Frequency Response of 80 - 22k Hz. You could cut that off even higher with an additional crossover.

Would the Morel Ultra Integra 602 MKII fit in my car? I have a 2000 Camaro SS Convertible, and as well, I am looking into getting the Kenwood Excelon DMX958XR. Would these fit and work in my car? Thank you

Thanks, Gary. They are a good fit up front; but over 1/2" too deep for the rear panels. Would you be okay raising them out to fit them here or would you want to use another model. Also, to use the new speakers front and rear, you will need the new radio installed and you have to bypass the factory amp by splicing together its input and output wires.

@@crutchfield I would like to have them fit I'm the back without having to raise them. So I'd most likely be interested into getting a different model. I was also looking into the Hertz CPX 165 PRO as well, but I'm not sure if those will fit in the rear. Would these fit? Or do you have any recommendations for speakers that would fit in the rear without having to modify the car panels? Thank you.

Those are also too deep. We're happy to recommend a better fit. What types of music do you listen to most often? What do you plan to use for power?

They sure can be used in an active system! The crossover frequencies are not always known so you may need to use a RTA to help identify the audio frequency to use in the high pass and low pass crossover settings of the active crossover

We do not have information on what treatment was done to the woofer cones and recommend contacting Morel by calling 877-667-3511 to see if they can provide information on the treatments the woofer cones get.

How do you feel about the components up front off an amp and the Integra in the rear off deck power

That can definitely work well, especially since rear speakers really just provide some extra rear-fill sound. Many people choose that type of configuration. Do you already have the amp you plan to use?
