@@itzmeavery9854 I’m not sure. Most of the time I just assumed my stats were too low until after grabbing the stat points and I got higher I did it in a few tries. I also never really considered the thought of speedrunning the game. I just finished thps2 yesterday and am at 93% on the first one.

Fucking HATE that one. I’ve got two tips for anyone struggling: 1 - Stand in front of it and line up, DONT go for big air by using the quarter pipe across from it. 2 - Jump early. It is tricky because there is a concrete lip attached to the end of the ramp. So you need to jump early to get the proper pop off of the ramp; otherwise it’s like jumping off of flat ground.

I remember playing THPS 3 on my PS2 back then, and having the exact feeling when discovering secret areas there. Playing this one last year (and today recently) still manages to bring back that feeling of immersion and wonder. Truly one of best experiences.

The area in School II can be done by simply completing the gap before the bell stops ringing. You don’t have to wait for it to ring to start the grind.

I've seen some comments like this, I guess it's a difficult game for newcomers. I think it just takes time and practice, you'll get better. You also need to be pretty quick with the buttons to be a good player in these kind of games. For those of us that played these games as kids/teens, we have years of playing experience already. Just keep playing!

Is there some trick about getting in that volcano that I don’t know? Can’t get in there for the life of me. I jump up where that red face is spray painted, but I can’t even make it close to getting into the volcano. Like fucking 15-20 feet short every time. All my characters have maxed out stats. Do vert guys jump better than street guys even if all the stats are maxed out? 🤷🏻‍♂️

You have one outside the gym, one at the Huge Transfer (near Gonz Rail) and one near the Pole 2 Brix gap (also near Gonz Rail). There's one near spawn and if I remember correctly, one around the stage

You have to wait for the bell to sound off. When it starts you need to start the rail, if it ends exactly when you get to the end of the rail, the screen will shake and the doors open

people overcomplicate that one so hard. you just go and grind the rail as soon as the level starts. like immediately. head straight for it and go grind it ASAP. all you have to do is grind the rail before the timer hits a certain number, its not as complex as these dudes make it seem.

It depends on the type of skater you're playing as. Street, Vert, etc have a different location for the stat points on that map

You also don’t even have to go up that way. There’s a pipe against the green wall you can grind up and over to get to that side. I guess to me if there’s a goal there it’s not really a secret area. Marseille and school 2. Yeah. You need to do certain things to access them but don’t need to access them to complete the level.

You need to grind the rail (Feed the Volcano gap) and you have a time limit to make the jump. If you don't make it first try, just restart the run. You will need to do the boneless to make it that far though

Never disliked a video on KZbin or left a negative comment until now. This is utter garbage. Not only are all these areas not secret, but necessary in order to fully beat the game. And the skating gameplay was revolting. Watching the subway card collection in NY was like watching a toddler give a speech on world economics. Total cringe and clickbate.

When you get lead on by the title thinking there's something you missed these past 20 years, or even that they've discovered crazy glitches to out of bounds areas, to realize the whole video is more of a walk through than discovering anything, is a total clickbait let down. Maybe this whole video is geared toward the younger audience who have never played the game before, and I missed the mark. My bad.
