I love the vocalist’s tone a lot even though she doesn’t yet have the star factor to mirror the instrumentals. She’s only 2 years older than me, but she’s definitely better than many adult pop stars I can list. Her vocal profile is definitely distinct from the other vocalists, which is very crucial to her identity in BanGDream. She has so much promise within the franchise even for her newcomer status. i dont really understand why everyone is so hard on mashiro's va for not having a good singing voice. her voice is supposed to be like that to fit her character's personality and im sure her singing will get better as she and her band progress. also as a teen, all this critisism shes getting isnt going to make her feel any better about herself because she already has the pressure of acting along with a cast made up of grown, experienced voice actors and musicians. what she needs at this point in time is a little critisism but also plenty of support and love; we dont want to push them down right as they debut. bushiroad pick great voice actors for their characters and i think as a voice actor shes already doing an awesome job. i personally think that even though her singing technique isnt there yet, she has a very sweet voice (unlike me lol) and has plenty of room to grow along with her character. i hope everyone will continue to support morfonica

@miyu_kiriyaki4 жыл бұрын
I fully agree with you. People should stop comparing her to other seiyuu or wish her to be exactly like them. Like…she is her own person. Or well, she is acting a character which is different than others for a certain reason. We don't necessarily need more powerhouses that immediately catch our interest because of a strong or powerful sounding like voice like in Roselia or RAS. To be honest I also expected a bit deeper or powerful voice in the beginning when I first listened to it but I quickly started to like it actually. The violin gave off classical vibes and suiting to her character her voice is softer. It does fit very well in my opinion. I'm also pretty sure she will be able to go from a softer sound to more powerful one day although I do believe she is actually doing a good job. Singing isn't that easy and takes a lot of time to practise as well. I know that very well since I also sing in my freetime. (in singing groups too! I even own one) I might have never taken singing classes at all but I do take critic from friends, like my timing is sometimes off at self collabs. We do learn and will improve but just give us time. I don't if Mashiro's seiyuu needs to put some pressure on her voice to sound like that but if she has to I really respect her even more for keeping that up. I also do impressions and am used to do darker voices (like Yoshiko/Yohane from Love Live) but once I was chika from love live in a singing group. The problem is that her voice is very high and the person that asked me to be their chika believed I could pull that off, but whenever I sang as her I sang really quiet and I literally killed my throat. So I stopped being in it. I didn't want to damage my voice even further and my throat to hurt like hell. For real, people should at least respect her for her hard work and her current achievements. Not everyone is born as a natural talented singer. And it takes time to improve. You might say she isn't as talented as Yukina's seiyuu yet for example. But have you ever sung yourself seriously and experienced how hard it is? Those singers from groups I'm in, who have heard Mashiro's voice also support her. We also take our singing seriously and aim to be as good as such singers from bandori, love live, utaites, … Have a heart and learn to see things from a different angle. Oh and not to forget, Mashiro's Seiyuu isn't pulling the whole band down. The whole band is going to help Mashiro's Seiyuu up. They will help her grow.
People seriously judging the vocals, I think the sound of her voice gives an almost calming feeling in contrast to the *intense violin sounds* and gives a cool effect.

@@leopera1015 that is the fault of the mixing, not the vocalist herself.
@leopera10154 жыл бұрын
@@ixcors No, I do mixing and mastering at a professional studio and have worked with many vocalists before, so I can tell the performance was pretty subpar (not entirely bad), so does the engineers behind this realized the same thing: 1. Given how much dynamics and headroom are needed for the violin to preserve its “realness”, ayasa pulled off an absolutely solid performance but the engineers decided to pull the string and kick the violin into the flat mix to make way for vocals, which leads to #2 2. To compensate the lack of thickness in vocals that wasn't cutting through the mix as is, I'm guessing the engineers decided to go for a dryer sound by raising its levels / have more parallel compression going on, and have the song mixed as flat as possible to minimize discrepancy. This actually worked against themselves as the whole thing sounds pretty bland, amazing instrumentals yet with a mediocre vocal performance. 3. Same thing goes for the chorus, if you listen to any popipa or pasupare songs, choruses tend to sit at where they need to be in the mix and have the right amount of processing to sound natural, not entirely sure why they had to go for a different approach with morfornica so there has to be some kind of tradeoff. (at 1:47 there was some cool fiddling lick going on with the violin but got bulldozed over by the vocals which is just sad) Listening to the other songs of the franchise, their approach in mixing isn’t very far from one another and the studio had to work with 6 different vocalists, but for morfonica why does it not take a set of professional ears to point out something wasn’t quite right? Even in RAS where Raychell has to constantly and CONSISTENTLY sing against the noisy wobbling sounds from the EDM elements, the balance between vocals and instrumentals are at the sweep spot and neither side loses to the other. You think it's the fault of the mix (which is a pretty blatant statement to make assuming the engineers behind this have more industry experience than the vocalist) but I see this as a product of many compromises at play. However I will say tho, given that Mashiro’s voice actress is only 15, I’m excited about her growth as a singer as Bandori only gets bigger.
I think this song is really a good introduction. Her voice is like a butterfly, light and weak. But when they sing together, it feels like it creates an effect, a butterfly effect, which is powerful enough to change something like the harmony they have~
I THINK HER VOICE FITS THE AESTHETIC OF THE BAND OKAY,, I LOVE IT SM AND JUST WAIT TIL SHE RECEIVES MORE VOCAL LESSONS IT AINT GNNA STOP HERE SHES GONNA BE HITTING SOME HIGH POWERFUL BELTY NOTES LIKE AIAI!!!

If you read Mashiro’s character profile, it is stated that she feels overwhelmed by other talented people around her, so it seems that she thinks that she’s not as good as the others, she knows that she’s lacking in talent and she feels down about it Someone made an analysis thread about Daylight MV and it seems to portray Mashiro feeling “behind” from her other bandmates and that she feels the need to catch up to them...she wants to grow, she wants to change quote tweet: heres another reason i like the video!!! we cut to the girls but it’s only ruirui, touko, futaba, and nanami. while they are shining mashiro isn’t. (this also might be a play on popipa and tokimeki experience!!) Morfonica’s motifs is butterflies, and butterfly usually represents change/growth/transformation, so I think this is likely to be the main theme in Morfonica storyline...”transforming” into a new, better version of yourself, just like a butterfly It especially seems to be what Mashiro’s character arc would be, as she feels “behind” from the others...but then she’ll eventually “transform” into a better version of herself, which also means that she’ll grow as a vocalist too I also wonder if the fact that Mashiro’s seiyuu is still at very young age is also intentional...since change/growth seems to be a major theme in Morfonica, I wonder if they want to reflect that both in-game and irl As Mashiro grows as the time goes on, so does her seiyuu It’s possible that they probably want to emphasize that theme of “growth”, thus they went with that decision for her seiyuu, after all Bandori has a bit of 2D/3D parallels sometimes Well this is just simply my personal thought, but I feel the need to write this so yeah
