As a 45-year-old war veteran, I’ve lost every relationship and failed at everything. One day, I was crying in bed and prayed to God. I told Him I had nothing to offer but my broken heart. He spoke to me, saying, “It’s okay to fall apart, I’ve got you.” Then He said, “I’ve got amazing things in store for you, just trust me.” 3 weeks later Seeing my life turn around for the good and God using Teresa Janette Brock, who changed my life. After reading about her, I found her website and reached out. Her kindness led me to a business venture I never imagined I’d enjoy. Her guidance gave me a new sense of purpose and community. Now, I feel more fulfilled and happier than ever. This song and Teresa’s influence have been true blessings in MY life..

Sarah Pulsipher- good point. Jason Isbell is obnoxiously sanctimonious. I have a hard time believing his commitment to certain causes considering he’s been known to be very judgmental. His social media comment years ago addressing some commenter- something like, “you wouldn’t know” because he assumed the commenter wasn’t part of a minority group while having no actual knowledge about the commenter, was very telling. He felt compelled to chastise the commenter for supposedly doing the thing that JI himself was guilty of doing in that moment. How was it that Isbell was so certain that the commenter didn’t have plenty of experience with bigotry? JI overconfidence in chastising the commenter spoke volumes to me. It very much revealed his true intentions, imo, while also showing his lack of self-awareness as I discovered the info on his Wikipedia page. Whether or not he or his team added that bit of information is irrelevant as the info exists and is further confirmation for me from where he draws his motivations. Isbell seems the type to make sure people know all of his “acts of kindness” which pretty much voids the act completely. Isbell would do well to learn to offer others a little more grace considering his own tumultuous past. He may think he’s made it to the other side of his toughest climb and is therefore qualified to dictate what and how the rest of us get through the most difficult parts of our journeys but we can’t really ever know that, can we?

In a country where you are so lost that you don't know the direction of the first step you would take to begin to find your way out. you're in sweltering desert, jungle, or extreme cold for weeks and months dodging bullets, hearing snipers, scared to death you are gonna die....afraid you will never see home again. you'll never see your family ... your wife, your kids, your mom, your dad, your brothers and sisters.
