As a dark skin person I understand that People make mistakes especially when under the influence of alcohol. He is Human and no human is perfect. He said sorry and apologies let's move on. Overall his music is top notch and one of the best country singers currently out there.

Bro please stop using alcohol as an excuse, saying that no human is perfect or free of certain prejudices or biases is one thing, but acting like people get intoxicated and then decide to say slurs is illogical. Edited to say, please do not reply to me without bothering to scroll down and read my remaining replies, this comment is not insinuating that this specific man used the word with malice and that he didn't use it as a term of endearment etc

So true. The liberal media is a joke. It’s not news anymore. They’re trying to paint this young man into a racist human being when there are millions of people in this country, in very high profile position, that have more than likely use the racial slur in their lives before. The only problem is he did it at the wrong time. It was when this country was put on notice by the radical Leftists Who claimed this country is systemically racist. The ones telling us this are the true racists.

This was the most bullshit excuse for an interview I have ever seen in my Whole life. To GMA I want y’all to know that y’all are a joke, this whole interview was a setup to force answers out of Morgan, y’all attempted that and y’all have successfully brainwashed this man to an outrageous extent, far enough to the point where he truly believes he needs rehab. Keep in mind he has said this around his CLOSEST friends who are also Black because he trusted them mainly because it’s not a big deal, it was a group of friends that trusted him so much and given the ability to say this. Y’all have meddled into his business and allowed a video to get so wide known and took it out of context completely, granted he said the word but he said it playfully around friends that trusted him with this ability to say it and friends that he trusted too, y’all dragged this man down to oblivion. Let it go. It should not have gotten this bad. The only point of this interview was not to resolve tension but to create more. At such a high standard of American approval and pushing an agenda that pushes peace and comfortability, y’all are straight up ignorant, and hypocritical. Context means a lot. The way that judge used the word, she should be condemned. A friend group of white guys throwing it around like rappers dissin each other is not a reason for anybody to lose sleep. Does it speak to a wider problem in America? Yes. Is this the place to start attacking it? I don’t think so.

The problem is my people are being lulled to mentally wake sleep state by those who are in power in the music industry, to make them promote this negativity trope ! Plus my people don’t read history, and if they did they would never even utter that N word in lyrics nor call each other that! It’s a major insult to even hear it among my people! The reason the black female artist’s country hit “black like me” isn’t selling is because most country music fans are white and won’t relate to “black like me”, just as black people wouldn’t relate to a song, “white like me”. Common sense would allow you to see that, Michael. But you’re so caught up in everyone’s skin color that your mind immediately goes to race issues. Darius Rucker- Charley Pride HUGE names in country and they sang Country-not music with an agenda- and are loved by country music fans. Morgan Wallen is a simple country boy who is probably afraid of what to say/not to say when you push for an answer. But there is no race issue in country. “Black like me” is probably not going to sell a lot. If the word is so highly offensive, black rappers should stop using it in every lyrical line because there are a lot of young, white people that listen to their music. The constant use of the word seems to numb people towards the horrible ugliness of the word. Lastly, fans flocked to his music following the incident because his music was good and because people are sick of the media and elite canceling people and dictating who we can and cannot like. He used a word that is trashy for ANYONE to say. But his career and livelihood should not be destroyed because of it. Why don’t you have nick cannon on?? Ask him about his outspoken hate and racism towards whites. He was canceled for like a minute (by very few people though)and then allowed back in. Don’t recall you having a sit down with him.

You clearly know the difference between the word being used by someone black versus the history of white people using it to dehumanize black people. Don’t play stupid. If black rappers want to reappropriate a modified version of the word a vs er, they have every right. White people know that it’s a no go and should just accept that or face the consequences due to their ancestors disgusting discrimination practices. Omit it from your vocabulary and go on with your life or continue to get cancelled. Simple enough.

Thank you! Had to stop watching after that part. TF. It’s one thing to say the black community isn’t too fond of white people using the word. Ok I get it, sure. But keep talking & be the fu*k honest! Admit the word is still ALIVE & a thing today BECAUSE of the black community. Admit nobody uses the word more than blacks themselves. Black artists sell the word to every white person buying their music & that seems to be ok. But the minute some idiot doesn’t get the joke, that same group of people is more than willing to wag a sanctimonious finger. Admit you just milked the victim card Michael- at Morgan’s expense - when you or your buddies have said the same thing he did 100 times. It didn’t work, u looked the fool, but you tried.
