Thanks for the heads up. On a positive note, the festival kit you got is a bargain at that price. I have done the steam beer, American ipa and the Belgian Pale Ale, all great. The Belgian Pale is excellent, and if you like the banana clove aromas you will love it. Cheers Jon

I love a Belgium. I've brewed the Muntons Handcrafted Belgium which is good and strong. My next Festival in Goldern Stag which I haven't brewed for years but recall it was a cracker also.

That's the pour of a man that either has no respect for the beer or knows that it's a let down when in the glass. Sad to see a brew turn out bad or indeed a bad kit in general. My question for your opinion would be that in our current financial times will we see a lot more of these types of kits popping up, over promising and under deliver due to scrimping on the extract and ingredients? How disappointing. Have you used any other Morgan’s kits? Their Blue Mountain Lager was my first brew. It wasn’t great but my processes left a lot to be desired. I’ve also used their Australian Old and really enjoyed it, although I did add grains and hops. Cheers!

The Blue Mountain is a decent beer. I've tried another of there's and from what I recall I enjoyed it. But how they can call this a Saaz Pilsner is beyond me. No Saaz flavour/aroma and a very light body.

Your opinion please. Just made a mild. My own recipe. I added protofloc plus a finings. The head retention was poor. I your experience do you think either of those or both efffect head retention. Ie. Knocking out alll the proteins.

Both of those are for clearing beer. I don't think they affect retention. Try Maltodextrin whixh adds body and theredy head retention
