@@morgonaut Original LP Jr's had Aluminum Wrap bridges. New Gibsons are an overpriced poor shadow of the past. Save your money. Get a Sire L3 P90 and an Aluminum bridge. It's a more gutteral tone than Brass that gives it more character. The best would be one solid piece with compensated knotched ridges. Philadelphia Luthiers has those. The ABR model with individual saddles might sound different. Your call. P90 pickups are nothing special. Very easy to recreate the original P90 formula. No need to replace the stock one, but you can easily swap the magnets out for more or less power = more or less bite.

I don’t like any tuneomatic bridge that uses C-rings to hold the saddle screws in place like the Gotoh tuneomatic. Those little C-rings can come loose and start to buzz and rattle. It will drive you nuts trying to figure out where the noise is coming from. There are six of those little C-rings on there, six potential problems. Every time a bought a guitar that came with one of those on it, they always started rattling. So, I use either the plain old wire retained saddle screws, or a Wilkinson tuneomatic bridge. That one’s my favorite because it uses springs to hold everything in place. Those are the best in my opinion. 👍✌️

Some of the best tone improvements I've made on my guitars are bridges and tailpieces, materials just as important if not more than design. I get away from zinc and go for steel, brass and aluminum when possible. BTW Callaham and Faber have adaptors to put ABR bridges on Nashville equipped guitars, no drilling or dowelling. Great channel!

Callaham used to make a TunAtomic bridge out of a single block of cold rolled steel, with nickel plated saddles which was incredible. But those have been unavailable for quite some time now. Hi there. One should let a luthier file in the grooves, to get the right size for each string. If you don`t want to spend extra money for that, one could buy and replace the bridge for the ABM Rollerbridge 2400c-RO. That woks just fine, too. ABM is known here in Germany for many years, to replace the hardware for much more sustain and better quality. Greets from Northern Germany and I wish you some nice holidays! 🙂

ABM is known for decades, they make brass bell parts. Steel eats the sustain, brass bell improves it, no secret! My personal PU maker as built some nice hybrid pickups for me: at the same time, I have a PAF'57 alnico2 AND a P90... The Freeway selector brings 6 posn instead of three (and the blade one for "Strats" brings 10 posn instead of 5) as each has a up-down... No need additional switches to split the PUs... One thing for sure : you also get a better sound by learning how to hold your pick and by not carrying your guitar like posers which will never improve their playing because their position is terrible And the Perfecto's zipper and metal parts are great to scratch your guitar...
@morgonaut10 сағат бұрын
@Haroun-El-Poussah - how high or low someone hold their guitars can for many be a thing of being poser as you wrote. For me it's about rhythm. I sacrifice soloing for perfect feel and rhythm. I can't play well with guitar too high or sitting.

Are you using a real amp? or an amp simulator.
@morgonaut3 күн бұрын
@zeppo20 - no sims, I will happily keep stupid sims to someone else 🤣 I use real all analog gear up to the end of the chain, where it needs to go to computer. My chain I described in detail in video description, as always. And my Marshall and Captor you can see in the video all the time behind me :)

@@morgonaut I use Bluguitar Amp 1, since 2020.

@zeppo20 - I used in the past some plugins, some of them are really great, but fact is nothing can beat the feel, response and sound of real good amp

Hi Teresa, very interessting. I made the Sam experience with my LP and my 335. At least I installed a Webster-Saddle, made from Brass, also. This was at least the best experience. Not only, that it Sounds fantastic, no matter If Clean or with Lots of gain. And finally you can adjust every single String perfectly

@hansbrehm7102 - yeah, brass can be magical :)

@kurtlonde5892 - I said "I never heard of ABM", not that it is unknown in general :)

sg is a flawed but a loved design. they always sound dead unless you high gain it

@huanton2many - not a single SG I own(ed) sounded dead to me. They are punchy, juicy and even crisp

@@morgonaut 99 out of 100 examples usually have deadspots on the g string fret 9-14. the neck joint is too weak so a lot of string vib. gets lost real quick. i wanna own one but cant seem to ffind one without aforementioned problems

@huanton2many - as I said, I have now two SGs and they vibrate like crazy. More than my Les Paul. So I can't support your claim

I replaced the bridge on two of my modern gibsons. They come with steel saddles which sound brittle. Brass saddles are the key to the universe.
