Slash is cool but Izzy doesn’t get the recognition he deserves. AFD wouldn’t sound anywhere near the same without Izzy holding it down.

To my ears the Mesa just sounds a little dark for a Slash inspired tone. That to me is where Marshall comes in when really reaching for a Slash tone. Good video though.

Why does Slash always get all the credit for the hybrid major/minor pentatonic scale, aka the modified mixolydian? It’s all been done before: Jimmy Page, Gary Moore, Michael Schenker, Neil Schon, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Joe Perry, nearly all Southern Rock guitarists, etc. and all of their blues predecessors dating back 100 years at least.
