Great buy on that engine! It should be a nice upgrade in the old pickup! Sweet bush fix on the distributor too, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a few farmers out there that have done the same haha.

Sorry the junkyard motors havent been going smooth but hopefully this one works out good! Looks like that much screen would need a center support of some type so bringing the 2 ports on out might help make the screen a bit more ridged as well? Great to see a video again...Thanks

I still run a lot 252 flat head dodge 6 cycle there the same way , easy keep them running. I take manual fuel off and cover the hole . Add electric fuel pump to the carburetor.

Like in anything you purchase you can buy junk or spend a little more for quality and craftsmanship. May your pipe sales go to infinity and beyond 😂

I would like to know how to wire up an engine like that. Could you do an explanation?
@WildWestGarage6 ай бұрын
You need 12 bolts positive to the + on the coil and then the - on the coil goes to the distributor. The big lug on the starter goes to + on the battery, - on the battery goes to the block. S terminal on the starter is touched to a + lead coming of the battery. It’s good to have a bit of a lead coming off the + on the battery to keep any sparks away from it. Or you could put a short lead coming off the big lug on the starter for ignition and energizing the starter.
