Thanks for the video. I’ve been wanting to install some ditch lights on my RAM. Your video helped me see what that installation angle will/will not light up. Maybe I should consider rock lights instead. I’m wanting to light up the path my front tires would be taking versus seeing at the end of my hood (which has plenty of light already). Appreciate your channel and great posts!

Thanks for watching! I believe out on the trails at night the rock lights would help with someone spotting you. However, you can’t really see much of the rock lights from inside the truck. On the side lights, some people point them straight out, but I would think that would end up with more of a long distance lighting feature. I am planning on aiming the side lights up a bit (but still pointing down some and still angled out) to complement the lower “fog” lights. For up close right in front of the vehicle, those “SAE wide” version (white and amber) work very well that are mounted in the bumper below the headlights.

I just got the Morimoto bracket, any tips for install? My only concern is hood lining up after.

Use a few pieces of tape and a pen to mark where the hood matches up to the mounting brackets on the tape and then put it back in the same spot. Do one side at a time. Remove the tape and good to go…

Here is another video with the Rock and Ditch light installation. Didn’t show the tape trick on the video though…. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5CyhWiHeL2Bjbs
