Morissette's whistle tone is much clearer and much more controlled, Mariah was great in her day, but Mori is better in every department through her vocals, Mori is happy where she is today, building bridges for the one's following, her newest music is showing her lower register, as far as a B2 and as clear as it gets under full control, you just have to love this Lady. 😊

Discovered Mori about a year ago and have been viewing reaction and her video content every day. You like singer that can emote, I see that you have reacted to Dimash; well checkout his idol Lara Fabian (sings in 12 languages, speak 5 languages and write lyrics in 4) she is in her 3rd decade of performing and has been mentioned in the same breath as Whitney, Mariah & Celine (she doesn't incorporate the whistle register). Checkout her PBS televised concert from Montreal in 2000 entitled "From Lara with Love'"; she performs 11 songs some classic French and Italian and some of the English songs she wrote the lyrics.

Thanks for the reaction and truly enjoyed it, I do disagree with your assessment that the whistle register is a head voice. Whistle Register is the highest vocal register created by the isolated vibration of the anterior section of the vocal cords. This results in an amazingly high whistle sound that many singers use to sing in the 5th, 6th and 7th octaves. It's higher than the chest voice and head voice vocal registers. I will give you that you are very knowledgeable than most reactors when it comes to vocal techniques.

I appreciate the respectful rebuttal. This isn't me questioning you but moreso trying to recollect what I said. Did I sepcidically say it's Head voice? I, like you, also consider whistle tone to be something completely different than both chest and head voice. That being said I am not a vocalist and only have advanced knowledge from a musical perspective and definitely do not have the professional knowledge (Chris Liepe and Charismatic Voice are my go tos for vocal technique usually).

@@mcflyjp All good, at the 9:35 mark, perhaps I misunderstood what you were trying to convey. Charismatic Voice is a big Mori fan as well. No expert myself, just have enough knowledge to know differences between, head voice, falsetto, whistle, mix and chest, etc. Just a general person who appreciates the talent of a singer who has mastered all of the vocal techniques like Mori. Perhaps its just my bias for her to be honest..lol.

She's (Morissette) truly THE BEST singer on this planet today. I would like to "say" that as great as Mariah is or was, so many think she is the "owner" of the whistle tone. She was great at it but Morissette took it to another level, for certain. But no one ever credits a singer who was singing whistle notes several years before Carey was even a teenager. Her name is Minnie Ripperton. I'm sure there have been others and I'm not meaning to disrespect Ms. Carey at all. I just want people to be reminded that Carey didn't "invent" it. Every time I hear, "Morissette is the Mariah Carey of the Philippines", I guess it just kinda "triggers" me just a teensy bit when Ripperton is not honored properly. *stepping down from my soapbox*
