From 2020 to today Morrisette help start a new record label for her music, wrote, produced, and released two EP’s of original music with her husband, Dave Lamar, released many songs on her KZbin channel, did many hour long livestreams on KZbin, Tik Tok, and a local platform, released several singles for other recording companies, performed regularly on ASAP, a variety show, and performed at as many public appearances the Philippine authorities would allow. She sang and produced her own digital concert in January. Earlier this year she did a many city US concert tour and another in Dubai. She has continued to be a staple on the Wish 107.5 radio station, and several other radio stations, including a concert of her new EP Signature, which charted high in the US, the Philippines, Asia, Europe, and other places that could not have been anticipated. Since the Philippines opened up she has been appearing and performing all over many times each week. That’s a mild summary.

she is the kind of a singer that would appeal to 5yos by just being there. I can't imagine anyone taking issue with the tone, attitude, or ability to tell the story. She is just right for a kid's movie. she is perfect.

Morissette would be an asset to any role on screen or stage! She makes it look so easy! I sang this when I auditioned for Joseph at College and got 2nd Narrator, (we shared the role).

This is my favorite kind of performance from her, too. She does a lot of high-octane songs because that's what many of her fans want, and those are awesome as well, but this is what sets her apart and where her talent especially shines, imo. It's my dream for her to record an album of classic Disney tunes and an album of traditional Christmas songs 🥰

Hi. Just have to say that the “shitty” platform as you called it is called Kumu, a live streaming app in the Philippines. It is a very respected app. When the pandemic hit it was home to live streamers, a lot of artists directors that were struggling because of the pandemic and shut shutdown were able to make a living in this platform. It’s a start up company and is a safe place for people like morisette to show case their talents. Pls choose your words wisely. I know people that work in Kumu and they are one of the most talented people I know.

No. She did not audition at all. Mori does livestream when pandemic started coz live entertainment with live audiences were stopped back then. It just so happened that one of her fans asked on one of her lives to sing this song. So she did. This streaming platform is called Kumu. It’s where influencers who posts covers (song or dance), etc.

I've heard the woman who got the gig is very talented and I'm not sure about Morissette's acting ability so I am not too bothered by her not being a Disney Princess yet. Still, I think an Asian Ariel would seem to have been a little better from a visual standpoint, but then again pretty much all the remakes Disney has done has been trash so maybe it's wise to avoid it until they stop trying to be the wokest company in the history of wokeism. But I really would love for her to get a shot at the animated stuff following in Lea's footsteps.

Both are talented young ladies and some of us that attended the D23 Expo that got to see Halle’s full rendition of TLM know the very reason why Disney chose her and why she beat everyone that auditioned by far according to the director Rob Marshal. Disney wouldn’t just choose anyone for their most anticipated, most expensive live action remake just because everyone is ready to throw tantrums with diversity, woke, inclusivity embellishments to fit a hatred Agenda!!! Some of your followers can insult and throw shots at Halle and once in a while you sneakily chime in the comments to fuel some fire but it’s too late. In every audition there is only one role and it can only go to the best! I think she was not considered to play this role because she is Asian and they wanted to make a movie with the characters being played by black people. The film industry has this appeal of politically correct and engagement. They do this all the time!

She would’ve been pretty good, I think she has too much depth in her voice to play Ariel, personally. A little too much heft as well in her voice, which is wonderful for contemporary singing, but for that role no. Of course she can go in and out and make her voice sounds very light and girlish, she has that ability to shape her vocal tract. But it doesn’t stay there, because that’s not the true quality of her voice. Lea Salonga is the only one I can think of, may be Lea Michele as well.
