In Filipino, the "i" in Akin is pronounced as a the vowel "e". The rest was on target. She is a World Class Powerhouse Singer. This is a Filipino love song that was written by Salazar, and she was the original singer. When she was young she had a throat tumor, and later in her career had voice box issues and some say she would never be able to sing again. But she overcame all of that. She is called the "Asian Phoenix." OH, by the way! She is doing this sitting down!!!!!

I was watching a compilation of reactions to this video and that is why I came to see your total reaction because you appeared to be as stunned as I was when I first heard this. I was laying in bed listening to KZbin videos and I was flat on my back almost asleep and thought her voice was just incredible the the breathy you just can feel her soul but then she hit those whistle notes and I literally came straight up in bed. There are a few minor issues with the arrangement, but her whistle in that is truly superhuman. It almost needs a comic aside where someone is shown looking at a watch to see when it ends. Although let's be factual here. The song is by the group Foreigner. And it was a huge hit for them. Mariah's version is just a cover.

First of all, you pronounced it right! Yes, that is her signature own song but was written by Kiko Salazar. Watch her cover of "Fly like a bird" which is another amazing one. The dude on the keyboard wrote this song for her. I fell in love with Morissette when I heard this song too.
