Hello Moritz! It was an interesting and informative race! I think Yoann Rouyer made a big mistake. He defended his place too early in the race. It allowed the others drivers to come back in the race... It would have been a better idea to switch places, use the benefits of aspiration, and to fight only at the end of the race. ;)

I don’t understand how these 5k plus guys are so fast and still look so smooth and easy. I just tried a practice session for the fixed series and could only do a 2:20:2xx! Now I only put in 30 minutes in the session but I’m an easy second of the pace of “normal” guys and 3 seconds off the aliens lol. I don’t consider myself a slouch (2500 iR and A3.5 SR). I know I need more than 30 minutes practice and can usually find the pace to be competitive in the second split and go for podiums in 2-3 split depending on SOF. I need to do I private session with a coach because I know I’m overdriving when chasing top tier lap times… I also don’t “focus” on the Cup car but probably should as if your quick in the Cup you should be quick in about anything else on iRacing…. Well sorry bout my long comment about practically nothing lol.

I’m in the same boat, jumped into this car for the first time ever tonight so I can practice for the upcoming race and yeah I’m also lapping in the 2.20’s. I think it’s just practice, patients and also reviewing your laps, I feel that with time I will be smoother with my inputs but for now it’s frustrating not being fast enough 🥲

I can barely do 2:22.7s on the baseline setup, lol. I still struggle to push this car to the limit, it's really easy to spin. I guess that I need to go for consistency for now and speed will come with time. On the mean time, my iRating is suffering bad haha

Do the iRacing cars have ABS or TC or like the 991 which has neither?

@@MoritzLoehner Thanks for the reply man, also, do you ever change it during the race or do you use a different BB on quali?? And what do you do about the tyre situation on the warmup lap for quali, do you go full send, or do you try to keep the tyre temp at a certain level? Thanks!!!

@@hasantansu6172 I usually leave the BB in one place except if I really feel the need to change it during a race. Rather slow outlaps for quali.
