I've read the Book of Mormon more than 20 times since I became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1974. I am amazed at how much I continue to learn as I study with your guidance and the guidance of others like Taylor Halverson & Mike Harris, Lynn Wilson & Jack Welch and other wonderful teachers. Thank you SO much!

Thank you Tyler for another heartfelt learning opportunity. We appreciate the time that you devote to expounding the doctrine of the Jesus Christ. The more my wife and I study the Book of Mormon and the Bible the stronger the witness of the Holy Ghost bearing truths of these things. But also applying the doctrines and principles taught in these sacred text has brought the promised blessings attached with them. Thanks Tyler! Your efforts have not gone to waste!

What a powerful lesson ❤ You are such an incredible teacher, who has helped me focus more on Christ, my covenants and making sure I'm following God in preparation for judgment day. I never made the connection to Mormon's day and ours and the importance of not taking offense. Thank you for the reminder that The Book of Mormon is truly for our day! Thank you for all the time and effort you put into making these incredible videos! God bless you

Lamanites of course survived and had posterity. But are we saying that Nephites did not survive to have posterity?

Oh darn, you skipped Mormon 8:38, which seems rather applicable this week after a BYU professor tore up The Family Proclamation. "O ye pollutions, ye hypocrites, ye teachers, who sell yourselves for that which will canker, why have ye polluted the holy church of God? Why are ye ashamed to take upon you the name of Christ? Why do ye not think that greater is the value of an endless happiness than that misery which never dies-because of the praise of the world?" - Mormon 8:38 This verse ties in well with 2 Nephi 9:28: "O that cunning plan of the evil one! O the vainness, and the frailties, and the foolishness of men! When they are learned they think they are wise, and they hearken not unto the counsel of God, for they set it aside, supposing they know of themselves, wherefore, their wisdom is foolishness and it profiteth them not. And they shall perish."

Mormon 7:7. Brother Griffin, with all due respect can you expand on why it states "One God" Does that still mean one in purpose, I always find that confusing, but more particularly here. Why is " Gods " not stated if the three are individual Gods?
@dixierepublicanАй бұрын
My understanding is that we worship one God, the Father, in the name of the Son, by the power of the Holy Spirit. And they are one God, unified in purpose and work.

From footnote 7f: Doctrine & Covenants 20: 17 By these things we know that there is a God in heaven, who is infinite and eternal, from everlasting to everlasting the same unchangeable God, the framer of heaven and earth, and all things which are in them; 18 And that he created man, male and female, after his own image and in his own likeness, created he them; 19 And gave unto them commandments that they should love and serve him, the only living and true God, and that he should be the only being whom they should worship. 20 But by the transgression of these holy laws man became sensual and devilish, and became fallen man. 21 Wherefore, the Almighty God gave his Only Begotten Son, as it is written in those scriptures which have been given of him. 22 He suffered temptations but gave no heed unto them. 23 He was crucified, died, and rose again the third day; 24 And ascended into heaven, to sit down on the right hand of the Father, to reign with almighty power according to the will of the Father; 25 That as many as would believe and be baptized in his holy name, and endure in faith to the end, should be saved- 26 Not only those who believed after he came in the meridian of time, in the flesh, but all those from the beginning, even as many as were before he came, who believed in the words of the holy prophets, who spake as they were inspired by the gift of the Holy Ghost, who truly testified of him in all things, should have eternal life, 27 As well as those who should come after, who should believe in the gifts and callings of God by the Holy Ghost, which beareth record of the Father and of the Son; 28 Which Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are one God, infinite and eternal, without end. Amen.

Eye opening lesson. My hope is to follow Mormon's example and forgive those who have taken so much from me. 😢The blue background makes it difficult to read the scriptures. Please do not use it. I am sure you have many other options.😊

Big swing and a miss, Scripture Central. Go and read about Hagoth leaving America yes some stayed in Canada but some sailed across the Atlantic to Europe. Where the current core of the North American church is from. Especially in England where the early church had so many converts that for 5 yrs we had more members there than in America. Moroni is talking to us as Nephite descendants.
