The adjustments made to the garments were necessary due to the members experiencing sweltering heat while in Africa. Unlike the relatively mild climates of Salt Lake City or Arizona, where it rarely gets excessively hot. The last part I say sarcastically!! Lol

I expressed my view earlier in the show. I think it was good for her to express her point of view. While i think she is wrong i also get why one might come to that conclusion (apprehensive that abusive men might take advantage of the environment of inclusion)

There have been restrooms for years that are not gendered. People just do their business and get out.

I'm saddened by the idea that women fear for their safety because of trans women being allowed in the women's restroom at church. Or anywhere. In my opinion, this attitude perpetuates unsubstantiated fear and fear mongering. I am a cis woman and of course I can't speak for all or even the majority, however my safety regarding my restroom use does in no way feel threatened by the notion of trans women being able to use that facility. I recently dated a trans man and he was absolutely terrified to use the men's room in any public place. And won't use the women's room for obvious reasons. He's a man! The hate and bigotry perpetuated on trans people is such a bigger threat than the other way around, in my opinion. By putting those policies in place, the church is making these problems worse, when they COULD be putting their focus where it actually needs to be instead of covering up s*xual ab*se prominently by its cis gender males.
