HE did. He wrote the whole Messiah in 27 days without contact from anybody. On the 27th day a friend did a wellness check. Handel opened the door crying, held up the manuscript and said, "I have seen the face of God!"

my Beloved mother, used to sing this in the several church choirs she was a part of. She was an AMAZING soprano, and had a BEAUTIFUL voice ! She loved this piece of music, and I grew up listening to the Messiah ! She always loved doing this piece of music and it was her favorite part of the Messiah!

A number of years ago I went to the "Do it yourself Messiah" downtown Chicago where the audience becomes the choir and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra performed the music with the soloists. There were at least 2000 people in the audience all of them from local choirs around the Chicago area. when we got to the Hallelujia Chorus the floors and seats were literally shaking. Very powerful.

I remember my children when they were little. We usually attend the Easter Vigil mass and Halleluia is usually sang after the mass. My late husband loves this very much. I miss him whenever this song is played.... Thank you .....Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Beautiful....

I was blessed to be able to visit the Tabernacle in Salt Lake in 2013. While it was not during one of the performances, it was a wonderful experience. Seeing it filled with so many souls, raising their voices in worship and praise of our Lord, brings tears to my eyes. It is truly overwhelming how the spirit moves the soul when He is praised in song. God Bless us All
