Welcome! These musical clips are from a large video collection that is now being converted from VHS/Beta to digital. There is some viewing quality loss from the original video source due to the age of the tapes, but the performances are preserved and still a joy to view. I'm finding many lost performances from vintage R&B, Soul, Pop, Broadway, Cabaret and other performances. This channel will be the Ed Sullivan channel for the digital generation, something for everyone to enjoy. Many of the performances will be seen for the first time since they were originally televised. I will be adding many musical performances from a variety of sources that I hope you will enjoy. Please hit the like button if you can.

Sly is an inspiration tbh. He dragged himself up from abject poverty and built his dream. Literally did his own rocky story. Incredible man. Travolta very humble here too. Great to see. Stars today aren't made like this.

What I love is that the studios tried to buy the Rocky idea from him (when he REALLY needed the money) and yet he had the presence of mind to insist that he and Rocky was a package deal. He believed in himself that much. Remarkable!

Wops have a special bond. But then you find out that if their ancestry is from different areas, they will bicker about food, how to pronounce words, etc. And in Italy, Italians from one city state culture disapproves of marriage to someone from another city state culture. I had a couple Italian friends born in the US, but her family was from Naples and his was from Rome. Their families were rather grumpy about the marriage, each thinking the other was inferior. True story. It was hilarious. The families were at least glad they were marrying Catholics and Italians, but argued about with family made the best sauces.

Travolta's career never actually faded away. Look Who's Talking 2 was a giant box office hit just 3 years before Pulp Fiction. And part 3 was in theaters nation wide only one year before Pulp Fiction.
@bobblueford
@bobblueford 4 жыл бұрын
@shasta evangeline Ah, okay. I didn't know exactly what you meant by that, because of the fact that he was considered to have "come back" with Pulp Fiction by many people due to the entertainment news shows. But I think it was more that he made bad career choices than relations to the "mafia" (😁), that mucked up his career. He was in some caca movies in the mid/late 80s.

@@persieprince9345 I agree with those movies. Anything with Travolta in it, I will try to watch. But you're right he's done a lot of crap lately but I don't think it's his choice, he just doesn't get offered any good roles anymore. Studios no longer have faith in him as a star.

These actors and actresses had much talent. I too am glad I grew up with these folks and disco. Rap was t around but the 60’s and 70’s were pure live songs from the greatest and country was the best and still is. Don’t sell your soul to the devil and stay who you are. The current plastic Hollywood doesn’t offer a thing.

@paulcolville5972 4 жыл бұрын
@wnypaisan27 Yes 5'9" is average height, I didn't say it wasn't. I'm saying he's under it. Just an opinion. I'm also opining your source may be of a smaller stature also, therefore making Sly appear taller? Sly likely not barefoot when your friend met him? (multiple times) Just saying. I'm not criticising ole Sly for disguising his true height he's provided much entertainment over many years when I was growing up and there ain't nothing wrong in looking your best etc, it's all cool my friend. But since we'll never know for sure we'll agree to disagree? Or I can bow to your greater knowledge in having the inside track re your source who's met him? Mind you if Sly WAS close to 5'10" wearing those heeled boots that'd mean Joan Rivers was 6' tall?? Wow tall lady😀
