Morning Chores on the Homestead

I mix 1/3 pine sol to 2/3 water in a spray bottle to go around where flies like to gather. I use it around doors to the house to keep them from following me inside. Commander Bacon, you and Shelly have a nice little homestead. This brought back memories of my childhood. Had to feed and water the animals before school and after school and getting the eggs in the evening. Had chickens, ducks, guineas, pheasants, pigeons, and rabbits. I enjoyed having them all and it taught me responsibility. Blessings 💕

Thanks for the tour, Uncle Bacon! Bunkie really wants bunnies. Mom, not so much. Love the pickle barrels...so much easier than what we used to have. I did not realize how much we have in common with your bird areas. Very cool. We had to stopped raising pigs because we could not get much bacon in 7 months but I really loved your setup! Why do the chores have to be done in the morning? I am NOT a morning person! Can very much hear the roosters. DUCKS! I love the ducks. I think you should name one felix jr. Aaaaaaahahaha! Saide is so pretty. Shelly does a lot in the mornings. I'm not sure I'd stick with that. It's like work. Well if Sadie is like Darbi at all, she won't eat if the food she's given doesn't meet her expectations. Having that issue with Darbi this morning. She does that pretty often. She knows I'll give in. And give her something 'better'. It's crazy. Never had a dog act so much like a diva! Yeah those pigs may be my spirit animals. Slow and steady and love to eat LOL. Ugh you gotta do it again in the evening? That just wears me out LOL. I think it's pretty cool when you guys show us your daily routines and what all it takes to care for these animals and your gardens and stuff. And I do learn things. May not always remember it all, but that's not the point lol.

in the summer it is cooler in the morning... the chickens and rabbits act like they are starving if you don't feed them in the morning. I fed Sadie the wrong food that she doesn't like... I found the right food and I think she thought it was still the kind she didn't like. Maybe we can name a pig after you... ;-) It's only 15 minutes... not bad... usually in the evening, I feed the pigs and Shelly feeds the chickens and then we gather eggs together.
