I saw an advertisement with different colored side panels and other areas if I am not mistaken. They only have black and white. Are they going to sell parts to change out these areas to customize? Would be nice to have a wooden paddle and accents.

They haven’t released any yet, but they’ve told me they’re still planning on selling them. My guess is they had a few for promotional purposes but haven’t gotten around to producing them in bulk

@@MuhanadOmar thanks, I have a Specialita also for my Profitec 600. I really like the look of the You, it is a very impressive machine. Great latte art as well! Will you stick with the Specialita?

@@maheenm thank you. I've now owned the YOU for 6 months and still very much love it. My in-depth walkthrough and review will be posted next month if you're interested. For the grinder, I've pledged for the Timecore Sculptor 078s as a hopeful upgrade to my Specialita. Since this video, I've switched to a single-dose bellow and really enjoying the workflow. If the Timecore grinder didn't look so promising, I'd likely stick with my Specialita. It does everything I need!

@@MuhanadOmar I use a single dose bellows also, only get about 0.1g retention which is pretty good. Do post a video of the Timecore if you get one, that looks like a really interesting grinder. Problem is for Espresso drinks the Eureka burrs provide that great traditional espresso flavour profile, which I really like.

How are you liking the machine? I’ve been debating between the YOU and the GS/3 MP, and I think I’m leaning toward the YOU. Curious if you’d agree

Hey! I've had it for a little over a month now. I'm waiting for the 2-month mark before I put out a full review to ensure I get enough experience with it, but so far, I'm in love with it. My decision was between this, Rocket R Nine One, Victoria Arduino Prima One, and Decent DE1.The GS3 MP was out of my budget, but if I had the money and wanted to future-proof any plans for opening a small cafe or pop-up, I would've absolutely went with the GS3. Apart from its performance, it has proven reliability and more serviceability options. There's a risk going with the YOU since it's brand new and will have to rely on continued software updates. I don't have any initial worries about the screen but it's uncertain how it'll fare after multiple years of heavy use. That said, these were risks I was content with. I very much enjoy the flexibility and customization the YOU offers -- it can be as complex or as simple as you want it to be. Once I have my profile perfected, it's an easy 1-touch button to replicate. It's wife approved and I think it's one of the best-looking machines on the market. It has its quirks which I'll talk about in my full review, but I have no regrets and no envy for any other machine (at the moment 😅). Would love to hear your thoughts

@@MuhanadOmar Thanks for your reply! I’m still torn, and the biggest hesitations are exactly what you pointed out: software, screen, lack of time in the market, resale value, etc. Tough call and I wonder if another player in the market will enter this profiling game soon

@@JacobSalamon I have had my YOU for 10 months now and it has stood up very well. It is one of the most advanced machines out there, but still has gastro like components and back-to-back capabilities with top steaming performance inside. Sanremo listens thoroughly to the feedback of the community (I have a constant open line with product development at Sanremo), and they are very quick in fixing bugs reported by the community. And they have some additional functionalities in the FW up their sleeves leveraging the flexible hardware. Coffee quality is great, and working with the paddle is big fun and unique among all other profiling machines. GS3 is years behind in technology, I think LM need to speed up their dev to keep up with the pace.

Looking forward to your full review! How have you found the steam wand? I saw one review saying it was over powered and had to be turned down.
@MuhanadOmar
@MuhanadOmar Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I plan to upload my full and detailed review next month, which marks the 6 month mark of ownership. I saw the video you’re referring to. If you’re accustomed to steam wands on commercial machines, the YOU is very similar. I always have mine set at the highest setting (1.8 bar) and create silky smooth milk, but if you’re still a beginner at frothing milk, then setting it at 1.5 or 1.6 bars is recommended
@CremaChris1
@CremaChris1 Жыл бұрын
I saw that review - what a silly reviewer - you can configure the steam power from 0-2.0 bar. Just put it at the level you are most comfortable with. For me steam power and recovery times are nothing short of exceptional.

Beautiful! Machine, setup, workflow, latte art all on point. I am really curious about the sound of the YOU. I read that the gear pump is exceptionally quite even compared to quite rotary pumps. Is that true?
@MuhanadOmar
@MuhanadOmar Жыл бұрын
Merhaba Yusuf, teşekkürler. Yes, the gear pump noise is hardly noticeable. If I were to nitpick, the only sound that could be annoying is the fan (when it's running). It wasn't running during this video so everything was quiet. Next week will be my 6-month ownership of the machine, so I plan on publishing a comprehensive review of my experience next month inshaAllah. Overall experience has been very positive, with only minor nitpicks about certain things but no major issues or problems alhamdillah.
