Thank you for this much needed, encouraging devotional. Some days I have no problem realizing HIS great love for us, but I have times when I am weak and find it hard to no feel unworthy in my sin nature. I've been studying in 2 Chronicles and I realize how many times that Gods chosen people would turn from the Laws and covenant of the Lord and in rebellion serve other gods, receive their punishment, and when they would turn back to serving God, HE would forgive them...this occurs again and again. It shows how Our Father is merciful and continues to love and forgive HIS people. Why do we tend to forget that we are sealed by the blood of Jesus Christ? Satan gouges us with our weaknesses... I praise the Lord for repentance. I give encouragement to others, which I don't mind doing because it is who I am in Christ, but sometimes I need encouragement too... Nevertheless, I will continue to keep doing my best to serve the Lord. I haven't seen the link yet, but will look it up. Great devotional.

I just saw the community tab post. Thank you for sharing this. It's a sad situation, but pastors/under shepherds are human and although we hold them to a higher standard than we tend to do for others that are not in a position of authority, we must understand that they are of a sin nature as we all are. Fortunately, we ALL have the avenue of confession and repentance of our sins. The song, "My Sins They Are Many, His Mercy Is More" just came into my mind. Let us rejoice in this knowledge of His gracious gift of Jesus Christs Life, suffering, death, burial, resurrection for ALL our sins, if we only believe in Him in our heart, repent for our sins and strive to live for Him according to His word, striving not to sin, but knowing that we sometimes do, even when we don't want to, by we are weak and need to call upon him as David did after he committed grievous sins, but God forgave him when he sincerely repented and renewed his faith in God. We too, have that hope. All glory be to God.

We are all flesh, and therefore have sin. We are all susceptible to falling or giving in to any temptation. May the Lord have mercy on His Church...
