I appreciate the fact that, despite having explained most of the feed mixing before in previous videos, you take the time to re-explain it for all the people who have just discovered your channel. Hope that mis-step out of the skid loader didn't do any major damage! Look forward to hearing about the barn expansion!

Thanks ,just thanks as these videos kind of make my day as odd as that sounds. But lost my left leg, amputated Christmas morning last year and don't get to interact with animals like I use to love to do so this is therapy for me. Thank you and your family for allowing me to interact somewhat. Would love to haul manure or to tether hay for free just to feel complete 💯 again .going to look into try to help some farms for free in my area just to feel like I'm contributing to something again.

Good explanation of the shaving on the silage feed. Ouch is what I'd say, that looked bad, hope you didn't or don't have any residual issues from that. Increasing the size of the special needs pen should help you gain a lot of space there, also your prefresh pen. Enjoyed this video, thanks for sharing, have a great week.

I am so glad you didn’t hurt your self too bad while getting out of the skid steer. That happened to me too when I was farming. But after the second time when almost broke my leg. I decided to weld a “corrugated step plate” onto my buckets. Then I trained my self to always use that as a target when jumping out of the cab. It made a huge improvement for safe entrance and exit. And as always thanks for taking me along for chores. It is always a learning experience.

I have slipped off so many skid-steer bucket I am thankful I don't have scars. My bigger concern is the silo conveyor open top. If that was in a factory like that you would be a high fine. Please take my nightmares away and use some of those 2x4s and some plywood to make covers strong enough you can step on them. Far too many farmers have been maimed or killed by such things. Some days, I am happy I also work in industry such that I know how to make work safer and know I am not invincible. One sleepy morning and your family will be pulling your ground up body out of that chain. Please make it safer. Thank you

Since you have the scale for the minerals, suggest you fill a 5 gal bucket with the normally dry silage feed and weigh it. Then do the same with the rain wet feed should give you an approximate extra weight due to rain and then you might be able to calculate how much additional silage to feed due to moisture. Just a thought
