Thank you! I like how you have put a whole verse all on one screen. Easier to follow.

"Morning Has Broken" is a Christian hymn first published in 1931. It has words by English author Eleanor Farjeon and was inspired by the village of Alfriston in East Sussex, then set to a traditional Scottish Gaelic tune, "Bunessan" It is often sung in children's services and in funeral services. I sang this in Sunday school in the late 1950's and early 1960's. The song became identified with Stevens due to the popularity of his recording. Writing credit for "Morning Has Broken" has occasionally been erroneously attributed to Cat Stevens.

It is more beautiful to hear when it is sang by the choir

@@magallanessison9488. It is all a matter of personal taste. I do agree somewhat with you, but I refrain from my preferences on others.

Cat Stevens created his own interpretation of this song which was about the beauty & newness of our world each day & how we can recreate that same feeling within us. That is a message for humanity 🤎

Thanks for the nice layout. Much appreciated. It was Eleanor Farjeon that wrote the words and it was first published in 1931. Cat arranged this version in 1971.

There are a couple of mistakes. The Dmin that you have in the verse after the Amin should be D and the F# that you have after the key change should be F#min.

It would be much better if each verse started on the right chord. The first verse starts on a C (the Tonic), not an F. The third verse, after the modulation, starts on a D (we're in the key of D here), not a G.

@@MrsFahey thank you. I knew that F was odd.

Well done. Well, actually, the song is in C, so the first chord of the verses in that key is C, not F. Otherwise, I appreciated this. Thanks. Sorry, but the more I ply, the more wrong chords I find. It's seven years ago, so this isn't going anywhere, but players beware. It's mostly right, but a good ear ought to be able to pick out the wrong ones. I still say thanks for this because it got me started.

Thank you for sharing. I thought that adding a bar Gsus4 at the end of the word 'Bird" like this( D) Like the first(G) Bird( Gsus4) before transit to the next verse(C) sounds cooler.
