Hi, Doug and Stacey. I'm a long time subscriber and follower. I'm also a cancer patient whose days are numbered, so I guess I won't be a follower for much longer. 😥 I'm texting to thank you for the enjoyment you guys have provided for me over the years. I've watched you grow and succeed in your homesteading efforts, and you inspired me. But mostly, your positive and jovial outlook on life gave me much happiness, and I know it does the same for so many of your Homies. Thank you both for being who you are. I've always believed that we inspire people most not by what we say or do, but by how we choose to live our lives. I also believe that we seldom know how deeply we impact the lives of those around us. By living the way you do (not just the homesteading thing necessarily, but your outgoing, kind and supportive way of being) you touch many of us, myself included. I wish you both a long and prosperous life, free of cancer or any other ailments. Bless you guys.

I'm so sorry to hear this, although I really don't know you. Thank you for sharing this lovely sentiment of good bye with Doug and Stay and I will include myself in it well, cause it caught my eye (and I'm a bit nosy). I hope you don't. *I'm sending a big hug via the net for you* *I hope it is not overwhelming.*** ;-) I don't know if you are a religious person (I know Doug & Stacy are). However, I find that at very difficult times in my life this scripture has helped me immensely-- Philippians 4: 6 & 7 which mentions to pray to God regarding our anxieties, and..."the Peace of God" which surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and mind by means of Christ Jesus". Peace is one of the fruitage of God's spirit, which he gives freely to those asking him. This is not something we actually see, but it is evident by how we feel. The Peace that God provides is amazing. Your heart and mind and that of your family will feel unloaded. Ask him (God) to give you peace and endurance. He will do so. Most folks would prefer to say that they are sending prayers in your behave. I suggest for you to pray (if you haven't already). Personal prays are appreciated by God. He will hear them. My heart goes out to you and your family at this very difficult time. Like Doug said, you are not alone and he is right. Much love....Fusco Family.

Please don't give up. When they told me I had throat cancer I didn't give up. When they told me I would lose my voice box and vocal chords I said if that is all lets go for it. I never gave up when they told me it had returned and I was going to have to have radiation and chemo I said ok. But I never gave up. Keep up a good attitude and believing and anything is possible. Will be praying for you.

We built coops for our chickens and ducks and geese. They were just rectangular with the wire that you put on the bottom of your raised beds, We used to move them around the yard every day it keep them healthier. And the more grass and bugs they ate the less we had to buy to feed them.

Thank you for talking about the garlic. My dogs stopped having ticks when I started to use the garlic. Years ago June Lockheart talked about using it for her dogs and she never had any trouble with fleas or ticks. Been doing it for years and no trouble. Raw meat is good for the dog and the cats. But your cats eat mice so they get the stuff they need too.
