Sola Scriptura! Its always wise to pray to the Holy Spirit first, asking Him to help you understand and comprehend and retain what you've read and learned in the Scriptures.💗

This routine is simple but powerful! I need to get back into my routine with God daily. It looks different for everyone but this was helpful in confirming how I can keep God first! I love how you included your different places, at the table or even in bed (its like that sometimes!) breakfast or fasting word, prayer, journal, music etc is all that I do.

I kinda realized as I got older that even reading through the Bible when I was younger, there were many things I just didn't understand; I also realized, after completing a 30-day challenge, that I really needed to read the Bible all the way there beginning to end, but I needed to read a ONE STORY. So I do some other mini devos in between, but most of the time, I let my 2-year plan on my bible app play on audio as I follow along (reading and listening each process information differently for me, so I combine them for the best effect... I'm 3 months ahead)

Thanks for the video. I’ve always been a Christian and I know how to pray, but the other day someone said at home cell “if you have a silly question like how do I read my bible, don’t hesitate to ask”, and I realised then, I don’t really have a clear idea of how to do devotions and how to purposely read the bible. Yours was the first link I found when googling ☺️

I’m not a morning person and I’m homeschooled so I find myself feeling motivated to read my Bible and spend time with God later in the day. I should push myself to in the morning but usually there is a ton of people in the morning being loud at my house. So I can’t have quiet time, so I really love to spend time with God later in the day. It doesn’t matter really the time you have quiet time with Jesus. I wanna spend way more time with Him, as of right now I don’t spend as much time as I want to with Him. So from now on I want to spend at least an hour with Him a day so I can hear from Him and He can heal me.❤️❤️

I agree - I don't think it matters what time of day. For me, mornings used to be my time of day. Now it's usually a little later in the day. I think it's awesome that you have a time of day you love to spend with Him! :)

Not so much a devo but more on the morning time with God. I have my clock radio set to K Love about 1/2 hour before I get up. Then when my phone goes off to wake me up, I've been subconsciously listening to worship music and I find my brain is ready to focus on God. I find that this quiet time with God really centers my day and it's all before I get out of my bed! -Kat

I have a Prayer/Devotional journal that really helps me. And I love filling it up. I write out my prayers, I write prayer lists and even take sermon notes. I have special pages dedicated to my husband and I write out a new prayer for him everyday. I am wanting to start a Bible study for myself through a single book but I havent decided yet. But I always read a Proverbs a day, throughout the month. And I also read many christian marriage books that really really uplift me and inspire me to be a better mother and wife. ❤

My time with God is in the morning. I'm more awake and can focus better. I will have a book of devotions that I read from. They are short, but I try to make sure they use plenty of scriptures. I read from The Word every day. Sometimes it's by book, but right now I'm following a " through the NT in 90 days" schedule and it is in chronological order, which is fun. My prayer time could use more listening time for sure, but I wanted to share something that I happened to come across that I really like. I can't pray for every body and every thing each day and it was becoming frustrating. I felt rushed and I was afraid I would forget someone. So, I took a notebook and numbered pages 1 - 31. I left a few blank pages between the numbers. Now, I put people to pray for on each page according to their Birthday. So, for example, someone's Birthday is March 18. That person goes on the page numbered 18. I like this system a lot. Also, one more thing to share. I did a study on intercessory prayer that was really good. It's by Dutch Sheets. I just now found your channel, Tiffany. I enjoy your videos. Thanks

Good morning sister For the past few years now I start my day early in the a.m while everyone is still asleep. I love my alone time with God. I get my coffee and and spend at least an hour in praise & worship. I quietly sing along and as I'm led to I also pray as the music plays and then go back to praising Him. I listen to so many different gospel singers but Fred Hammond, Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and Jonathan McReynolds are among my faves. After that I get into my devotionals thru YouVersion Bible app and I pray some more. I can't try to go about my day without spending my mornings with Jesus

I am up at 4:30am every morning. I come downstairs while my husband and 2 year old are still asleep. I get everything ready the night before so I can just get right into it. I have a daily devotion on my phone with a bible verse, a thought, a prayer and a meditation so firstly I read through these then meditate on them for a few minutes. I then use my reading plan to read my bible and then I sit in prayer and talk to God about everything. I spend an hour every morning in quiet time with God before my husband gets up at 5:30am, we both then get ready for work, husband leaves and I sort out my 2 year old at 6:00am before having breakfast etc and leaving the house at 7:00am. I get up at 4:30am on weekends also, it has become a part of my daily routine now and it really helps me to get through the day. I was a mess on the days I didn't do this so I really need it. God bless.

Thanks for this video Tiffany :) A part of me didn't want to watch it as I've been struggling with having my morning time with God. So, he's working through that with me
@TiffanyDawn7 жыл бұрын
Oh I totally hear you!! It's so easy for it to feel like more of a routine than a relationship. Have you found anything that's been helping you with that? I think sometimes mixing it up has helped me in the past, like doing it differently, or in different places than I'm used to, to kind of jar me out of the "routine"-ness I guess. I'd love to hear if you have any suggestions!

I hear you!! My pastor's wife calls that section of the OT "the graveyard of the Bible," meaning that's where so many people stop reading! At least for me, some sections start to feel kind of boring with all the lists of names and very detailed instructions!! 😂 I think what helps me is asking God to help me find the gems buried in the more "boring" sections. And I have found some of my favorite verses in the Bible just buried during "monotonous" stretches! It's so cool! I also love using The Bible Project's KZbin videos to get a big picture perspective on each book of the Bible. That helps a lot!

I recently started to listen to these KZbin videos and have found them extremely helpful. I wanted to ask.... I don't know if I am being good lazy but I recently developed a habit where I only listen to sermons rather than reading the Bible myself. Is it wrong?
@TiffanyDawn7 жыл бұрын
Ntaizyo Mwila I'm so glad these videos have been able to encourage you!!😍 that makes me so happy! As far as only listening to sermons, I think on occasion it's totally fine to have that be your quiet time! I wouldn't say that's "wrong," but I do think it's super important to also read some of the Bible on our own, since that's one of the big ways God speaks to us, and how we get to know who He is, and even the way we know if a sermon is on point or not. But especially if you're new to the Bible, sermons can be really helpful to help you understand what you're reading. Have you seen my video about tips for Bible study? That has some ideas for how to get started and how to understand what you're reading. I'll link that video below. On Wednesday I'll also be posting another video about some Bible study tips. I hope this can help!❤️❤️
