Using a safety razor is pure manliness. And it gives the best , smoothest shave.

I've been using a DE razor and shaving soap for over a decade now, it's the best way to get a super close shave. Took a little time to get my routine and technique dialled in but once you've got it nailed you're golden... If you're doing it any other way, you're doing it wrong! When my own son is old enough to shave, I'll be teaching him the exact same method.

I usually shave with an electric device because it is fast and good enough for regular days and I only bring out the razor when I have an event or something.

Discovered Hueguh earlier this year. Can confidently say he's changed my life in the sense of being minimal and having all the basics (even at the ripe age of 26). I started building my wardrobe with all the basics from his videos, hell even decided to look for a sport/diver watch that was very much similar (but cheaper!!) to the Rolex Submariner as it looked good with his basic clothes style. The best youtuber out there imo with the content that's created

I used to shave with shaving soap and a safety razer too. It definitely is a better shaving experience than using a cartridge shaver. What appeared to be even better for my skin was stop shaving altogether. This was 2016, and I’ve not wanted to shave after that ever. Except for my head, as I am dealing with male pattern baldness, like so many other men. I actually shave my head now with shaving soap and a safety razor. It takes a little getting used to as you’re slightly more prone to cutting your skin, but take it slowly and you’ll be perfectly fine. So here’s to Hueguh for a quality shaving experience 🍻

An alternative I personally recommend is the Wilkinson Double Edge safety razor, it is priced at 20 dollars and is great for bigger though not as well made, works amazing!!!

Great video mate, I've been a advocate for the style of shaving for years. You're so lucky to live in the US in this regard, the plethora of artisanal manufacturers is ridiculous, Stirling are great and amazing value but you also have Barrister and Mann, Declaration Grooming, Ariana & Evans, Wholly Kaw and an endless amount of others.

Great video. I had no doubt in my mind that you would be a guy who enjoys a DE razor shave. I picked up Cremo a year ago for traveling (minimalist travel doesn’t work well with soap and a brush and a bowl) and loved the simplicity and quality of shave so much it’s my daily option now.

You do not need to soak your synthetic brush. Just wet it before lathering. Only badger, boar, etc brushes need soaking. Overall very accurate information as far as I can tell being 7 years into wet shaving. Also Stirling is great value and I recommend face lathering instead of bowl lathering, however as always ymmv.

My Single blade safety razor I got took from my father still working fine. Your shaving skill is almost perfect but I would like to add that before you apply shaving cream one must exfoliate the skin with a light scrubber. For that perfect shave.

I shave with a safety razor and I’ve been using it for about 2-3 years, it’s looking slightly dull, like an ashy finish. Do I need to purchase a new one? How do people you keep your razor looking shiny like new? I’ve never used the shaving soap, definitely will add this to my routine.

Shaving with a safety razor is fun when you have a light beard. But I have too much and doing this every day is too much work, so I'll stick to my electric razor.

The best part is that two quarters is still overshooting the cost of a double edge shave. It's literally like 9 cents per blade.

Personally I like to use an aftershave with little to no alcohol because it dries out skin and makes you look old.
