Garth brooks back in the 1990's he had one amazingly talented fiddle player in his band. You are pretty good yourself on tgat fiddler. One of my best friends growing up was Greg Sykes from hawkind vounty,tn. His father CE Sykes had a blue grass band. He grew up in council,va before moving to hawkins county,tn in the 1960's. So hearing you girls playing them instruments brings back good memories of hearing CE Sykes band playing some good ole bluegrass music under his car port on weekend nights. His grandson Nathan Sykes has a blue grass weekly radio broadcast up in bristol,tn.

Good morning girls! I was listening to a number of your videos today and came to rest on this one. You are young to have experienced such a loss in your lives, but you are "just right" in the prime of a new career and David understood that. He gave his begining to you and his end, as the loving tools for you to fulfill your dreams. I remember sitting round the breakfast table, in Ann Arbor, with special friends, who were all supporting your lives, your talents, your joy and newly grown fields of possibilities. David gave you the seeds, we gave you the field to plant, you made everything grow, AND, as with most crops, ( they need continual fresh water) you have been rewarded with a good crop of possibilities. You now have been presented with better tools, in the form of musical instruments, to nourish the many fields to come. Best of all, David has given you the story of himself to carry on his legacy and strengthen your careers. Yes, he is a gift to all who sat at the table!

Both instruments sound really nice. The fiddle has a bit of a "growl" to it. It's interesting to note that you both typically tap the opposite foot from the other. And you mentioned that you were "mirror" twins. I recently watched a documentary on twins that stated that mirror twins only happened 1 in 10,000 times. And even rarer are mirror twins where one twin will actually have their organs on the opposite side (heart on right rather than left, for example.) --- Playing nice instruments always kind of scares me. I'm much more comfortable playing the biggest piece of junk in the house. A friend once tried to gift me a beautiful custom made electric guitar. I declined it stating I would be too afraid to play it. Instead I took their worst guitar that everyone else said was unplayable. Pulled both E strings off it, tuned it to AEAE, set it on my lap and happily played porch blues slide on it with a friend on harmonica.
@thepressleygirls3 жыл бұрын
That’s funny, I never noticed we tap opposite feet! 🦶 I didn’t know mirror twins were rare, I’m not sure about the qualifications to be one, but we seem to be. Yes, playing nice instruments does make me nervous I just try to be careful. Thanks for watching, slide blues are awesome!

Sometimes... the sunshine is taken from us; though we can't see it we can still feel it's warmth radiate... Before tuning in here I watched listen and watched The Blind Pig and the Acorn play "Kentucky". I think just about anybody could feel something radiate there. Tippers cooking warms my belly and I ain't never ate none of it...but there's a warm spot in my gut. Also was warmed up watchin' this Pressley episode and the use of past tense is touching homage to someone who seems to have made a lasting impression with them... Ya know it's funny... I don't believe I ever noticed but seein' Katie in blue jeans and that was really cool...dare I say I think I got a little hot... Anyway.. All these temp changes come from over there from a place I ain't never stepped a foot... Go figure. I suppose now I've come full circle.
