That's an interesting question. When we first came here we were the only Americans most locals had met. The English tended to stay in a group to themselves. We have only ever felt love from everyone we meet. In the last couple of years there has been an influx of Americans and people are learning to differentiate between those who are here because they love the area and those who like the inexpensive lifestyle but would like it to be like America. Throw yourself into the lifestyle, use fractured Italian, they'll love you and help you.

In general Italian real estate agents are localized. Salerno to the south is a big area with lots of different geographies. My recommendations: 1. Watch a lot of youtube channels like ours to get an idea of areas you might like. seaside, mountains, etc. 2. There are several sites that list properties all around, each listed by a local realtor like www.casa.it 3. If you find your interested in the Scalea area, we can recommend an excellent realtor.
