Welcome to my channel buddy! I will probably do another live stream soon. So stay tuned. :) That said, what I did here is to apply these techniques as they fit: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXXIdaacncx8hZI They are generally designed to work well for small channels and even in competitive niches. But even though I don’t know too much about the kids niche, I think it is a little special if you are targeting kids that cannot write yet. That is the case for your channel, right? So this means that parents search for videos on behalf of their kids. This may mean that they don’t take a lot of time to find a specific video and instead just look for the common stuff. Like common kids songs that you cover as well. Absolutely my pleasure! :) Indeed, it’s not that easy sometimes. The great thing is that over time it will get easier even in competitive niches because we find new angles with which we find new types of search terms. So the open ended research like I do in this stream quite often leads us to those alternative ways to ask a question - aka way to write a search term - and that opens up new possibilities. Angles in your case could be the mood, the time of day, the setting (alone vs. in a group), the type of mental distress etc. etc. 😃✌️

One of the best ways to get views after learning the proper meta data from morning fame is finding a new topic, product, etc. Like my current channel using a new 2020 kayak model and it has done pretty good for views for a small channel. I just need to continue to be more consistent making videos and improving as always. Morning Fame is still awesome Nico!

Excellent point Rodney! Everything that is new is likely not as competitive because the big channels didn’t do a video about it yet. So that’s a great opportunity for small channels and that will automatically show in the grades in the keyword tool. I think you have a wonderful product and I appreciate that you are so liberal with your advice and experience. I know that I'm supposed to find a keyword that will give me success, but I'm finding that difficult because of my niche. Our channel is Outwest Country Living and we are sharing our (daily, weekly, etc.) life and I'm trying to think outside the box and come up with titles of videos already created that will fit the criteria for this tool, but so far I'm not successful. Any suggestions?

Absolutely my pleasure Rob! It sounds like your channel is a bit like a vlog, right? Try to find one thing in each episode that is searchable. Something that people actually want to find an answer for. Ideally, do your keyword research even before you film your videos to understand what your may need to cover in your videos. This is the best thing you could do. It is so much harder to have a finished video and then trying to find a fitting search term for it.

@@robandnell4305 High 5 Nell! Yes, you will make it happen. There is a German saying “Wo ein Wille ist, da ist ein Weg.” - With will power a path will present itself. Btw, for your inspiration look at any of the vlogs from VlogAfterCollege. He has a cute corgi and all his vlogs start with something about the dog. Basically before he shows his channel intro, the video is about a specific topic - e.g. “corgi’s pet peeves” - and that is - although not intentionally optimized for Search - very searchable. If you just watch that first part you will already be happy as a viewer and then many stay for the whole vlog that is much more than just about his dog. Great video 👍🏻 One question, though: 42:14 That is interesting. But doesn't Google Trends tell us in the end which search terms really get searched? Because when I double-check those long tail search terms with Google Trends, very often, it shows very little search volume relative to other ones. Sometimes, for very low search volume keywords, Google Trends doesn't show any data although the search bar still suggests it. I guess that would be a good keyword to use for small channels (provided that this keyword comes with low competition)? So in other words, the search bar suggestions have a higher sensitivity to lower search volumes than Google Trends does?

Great questions buddy! External promotion can help if you do the targeting right. That means that you bring the right people to your video. And to really create a lasting effect of the promotion after you stopped paying for the viewers, you would need to make sure that these new viewers subscribe or watch multiple videos in a row. In general, you can see the promotion as some kind of trend. It’s not a real trend of course but it also produces a views spike. With this in mind, have a look at my detailed explanation how to benefit the best from such a spike: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nImth52ugdFjfMU Regarding the Relevance, a C grade is a little too low. That basically voids the competitive advantage you would normally get with a highly optimized video. But you could give it a try nonetheless. If you want to do that, certainly make sure that you get at least D grades for the other 3 grades. And in the #4 Optimize tab make sure to optimize to a full 100%. The blue tip buttons in that tab will help you with it.

Hey Nico! Thanks for your great content. Doing some research for my new channel i found your content and analysis tool. I'm an austrian youtuber and publish my videos in german. It's a photography tech channel. In my opinion the competition is very high but they are not using the tags in order to rank for long tail keywords. Because they are so big they rank better anyways. BUT even in really competitive keywords like "Sony alpha 7 III" or "Sony alpha 7 iii objektiv empfehlung" it's possible to rank on place 5. (To check i use my browser in private mode) Although the video is ranked in good position (it's only true if I'm checking the right way) i don't get views. So what do you think I'm doing wrong here? I tried to figure it out with your keyword research tool but I'm a little bit confused right now because for example my channel gets bad grades for rating on "Sony alpha 7 iii" or "Sony alpha 7 iii german" but actually my video is ranking and I'm getting good views compared to other videos. Should I try to rank for this keywords anyways because my channel is so small i actually don't have a chance to rank anywhere statistically? And if I'm putting out more and more content regarding this topic, something like "sony alpha 7 iii objektiv empfehlungen" i get a better authority and the videos are able to rank better? @morningfame I have an interesting concern, I noticed after evaluating search terms there is a specific term that the website tells me i have "likely no chance to rank" with red letter grades across. The odd part about that is not only have I ranked for that search term but my channel provides the top three videos for that term and my channel is considered the "top creator" for that term via VidIq. Please help me to better understand thank you!

Great question buddy! Having worse grades doesn’t mean that you cannot rank. The chance is just much lower. Your example is definitely an exception to the rule. The tool, however, looks at it from the opposite direction: It shows you if you have a good chance to rank. If you do then you get DDDB grades or better. However, when grading a search term the tool cannot bet on such exceptions since you of course expect that your video successfully ranks. Do it is better to stick to search terms with good grades to have good chances to rank. Of course, feel free to optimize for search terms with worse grades. But keep in mind that you take a risk then and may not rank in the end. Does this answer your question?

Yes, for a lesser known indie game it may work. However, you have to check the competition with a tool. The problem is that all gamers try to rank letsplays. So search terms with “letsplay” in them very quickly get saturated with videos and hence the competition is high. So it is usually a good idea to do gaming tutorials as well because there are so many different things that you can cover in a tutorial that there are enough search terms for them that are not too competitive yet.

I'm starting a KZbin channel about gaming but know that the market is completely saturated and hard to rank based on research with your tool. I also know a lot about website themes and plugins, hosting and SEO and so on along with gaming. Do you think my time invested making videos on KZbin will yield a higher income reward around websites themes, plugins, Shopify, and affiliated marketing as opposed to the gaming industry which involves a higher subscriber counts and is more reliant on ad-revenue alone. I just don't want to waste years of my life making videos without seeing any income as It's more likely to make me give up since I already make money easily in the stock market. This video you made is amazing and has made me really think about my direction in gaming..

Niko as nice as you are and as much as I love u and other do. KZbin is extremely hard right now its come to a point of u dont have the right equipment there is no point even starting a channel. Its very sad and extremely disappointing as no tool can help these issues. Also the competition is absolutely deadly on KZbin just cant win now days. Sorry my friends. That would waste valuable resources. Hence I designed the tool to work in tandem with your human intelligence. Not all suggested terms would really fit your channel or the video topic you have in mind. So you need to pick those that make sense to begin with. Then of course there are many features that speed up the process of looking up the grades. Like the “Quick Look Up” in the #2 Keyword tab and the “Last Suggestions” in the #3 Search tab plus of course the grade previews based on previous searches. I hope the more you practice researching the quicker it will become for you!
